No matter who you are, parenting is an excellent equalizer.

As parents we have unconditional love for our children, but they do their best to test our limits and always keep us on our toes. This is no different for the rich and famous.

Sure, they can afford the best in nannies, tote designer diaper bags, but kids will still be kids. They don’t care who their parent is, which is what is going to make the stories shared below all that much more enjoyable.

Before someone has kids they have all of these imaginary rules that they judge other parents for. As parents it’s amazing how quickly we eat our words (unless it's Gwyneth Paltrow whose children are so weak from only consuming kale they have absolutely no free will left).

Since celebrities lead privileged lives it’s a lot of fun for us regular folk to see them put in their place, care of their children. Some of these celebrities are horrified by these kiddie toddler tantrum induced moments, while others record the moment themselves and share them the next time they’re on TV (before the paparazzi has a chance to do it for them).

These are 15 celebrity parent meltdowns that will make you feel so much better about your next personal incident.

12 Drew Barrymore's Disney Disaster

Vacationing with kids has its ups and downs, even if you’re a celebrity.

Drew Barrymore found this out when she recently took her two daughters to the most magical place on earth. Drew’s daughter has been known to let loose in full on toddler tantrum in public to embarrassing ends.

Not afraid to show off her parenting fails, Drew provided the late night audience and Seth Meyers with some photographic evidence of her daughter throwing an epic tantrum on vacation, one after her mom wouldn’t let her chase a bird.

Drew added, "You push it enough, because you're like, 'I'm here! Let's skip the nap! Let's go, go, go!' You want to maximize it. This is how it always ends for me."

11 Suri Cruise's Ice Cream Meltdown

Kids thrive on routine, and as many of us parents learn the hard way, when we stray from that routine, that’s when things go sideways.

After her trip abroad to China, Katie was hoping to enjoy some one-on-one girl time with her daughter. The actor thought that treating her then six-year-old daughter Suri Cruise to some pizza at Pie By The Pound followed by some ice cream would be a big treat.

Unfortunately, it was after nine o’clock and little Suri had gotten sleepy mean, throwing a big apple sized tantrum. Katie kept her cool though, through an epic meltdown from her daughter that was captured on film by paparazzi.

As for Suri’s punishment, mom confiscated her ice cream.

10 Geri Halliwell And Her Daughter's Spicy Attitude

Air travel makes grown-ups grumpy, so it’s no wonder our kids act up due to all of the hoops they must jump through when flying. It’s exhausting, there are endless lineups, and that’s all before (and after) you need to sit on a cramped plane for hours.

We’re unsure as to whether or not Geri Halliwell’s daughter Bluebell was just beginning or finishing up her journey when she was photographed freaking out at LAX, but either way, she was not up for playing the part of adaptable travel companion.

Maybe her mum can calm her down with a sweet song. At the very least Geri has “vacation” photos that she can add to her daughter’s baby book care of the paparazzi.

9 North West Tantrums Like A Diva

If your parents are two of the biggest personalities in Hollywood, odds are you’re going to be gifted in the art of perfecting a tantrum.

When you throw yourself in front of every camera, there are bound to be some bad angles. Add in that most paparazzi aren’t going to Photoshop out a tantruming child, particularly when it makes for a great story.

There are so many pictures of North West melting down on film that it’s difficult to know where to begin. Some were shot after meet-ups with other VIP families, and apparently North gets jealous when her mom pays attention to other kids.

While we get a lot more pictures of North freaking out for mom, there is no denying that some of North’s more sour expressions have been inherited from dad.

8 Buffy The Tantrum Slayer

There’s that line when we take our children out and try to push things further than we should before calling it a day.

Sarah Michelle Gellar found that moment with her daughter Charlotte, who was six-years-old at the time, and had a very public meltdown before they managed to make it out of the public (and photographer’s) eye.

Always able to keep her cool in the face of a battle, everyone’s favorite slayer calmly carries on business as usual by avoiding giving her daughter negative reinforcement.

Sarah Michelle Gellar has gone on record about wanting to have her children savor their childhood saying, “It’s one thing to have a dream and it's another thing to be the child of two actors. I think it puts an extremely different spin on it.”

7 Charlize Theron Forced To Drag Her Son

When a toddler decides they don’t want to go anywhere, the use of passive resistance and an epic tantrum makes up most of their game.

When you have to be somewhere at a specific time this is especially frustrating from a parental perspective. This is no different for Charlize Theron’s adopted son Jackson, age four, before his ballet class. A frustrated Charlize tries to drag him along and get him to the enriching experience she signed him up for through gritted teeth.

Unfortunately for her, paparazzi captured the tense parenting moment on film that created some busybody-like concern in the tabloids about her child’s well-being. There’s nothing unusual about this moment, beyond the extra attention from the press.

Frustrated mom, move on.

6 Kourtney Kardashian’s Christmas Catastrophe

Little kids get excited about Christmas, sometimes to a point where parents don’t know if they’ll be able to take another minute of the glee emanating from their hard to handle children.

When you’re juggling an infant and a toddler things can get dicey any day; add in the excitement of Santa and you have a recipe for meltdown. During a December family shopping expedition, Little Mason got bored with the time spent at Barnes and Noble and started acting out.

When things got too much for them to cope, dad Scott Disick scooped up Mason and carried the upset toddler away. Luckily both mom and dad seem amused by their toddler’s excess energy, even after it lead to a brief meltdown.

5 Hilary Duff’s Son Has Had Enough

It seems that every time Duff’s son Luca has a meltdown, the paparazzi has been there to capture it on film.

While the celeb remains calm and carries on when her son is losing it, a number of tabloids love to make comments on the frequencies of the meltdowns, because toddlers are known for their sense of timing, logic, and even temperament, right?

One site even went as far as to give her a C- in parenting because they believe Duff doesn’t discipline him as she should and is over-compensating since her separation from his dad, Mike Comrie.

This is particularly harsh considering tantrums are common for little ones and Duff seems to be making sure that she isn’t reinforcing negative behavior with attention.

4 Double The Trouble For J-Lo

A lot of kids aren’t on their best behavior in crowds, and for most kids that means a theme park, birthday party, or restaurant, not a top notch celeb studded event.

Jennifer Lopez might have regretted taking her then seven-year-old twins, Max and Emme, onto the red carpet with her during the premiere of her animated film, Home.

You’d think the promise of a kid focused movie would have her kids psyched, but instead it had them in full-on tears. While mom wanted the twins to smile and say cheese, Max lost it and began to cry.

Not to be left out, sister Emme decided to scrunch up her face at the crowd to show her displeasure. Hopefully they recovered and were able to enjoy the film.

3 Isla Fisher’s Doctor Tantrum

Going to the doctor can be a bad day for even the best behaved kids.

It’s scary, stressful, and sometimes you end up having to get stuck with needles. It can also be packed with a lot of waiting for a longer period of attention span than most toddlers can handle without losing it.

The photographers were waiting for celeb mom Isla Fisher when the pair exited a standard visit to the pediatrician back in 2009. Olive Cohen was quite upset about the visit, while mommy kept her absolute cool, even though photographers kept snapping away.

Can’t say most of us would have reacted this well. Hopefully now that Olive is much older and wiser she also keeps calm and collected, especially when the paparazzi is there.

2 Sarah Jessica Parker's Daughter Tantrums In The City

Perhaps little Tabitha Broderick is taking a page out of Carrie Bradshaw’s best-selling book by throwing a drama fueled tantrum for dad, Matthew Broderick. Maybe she doesn’t like her hair band, or the shoes that dad picked out.

In her New York minute temper tantrum you can tell from dad’s body language that this isn’t the first time he’s dealt with a tantrum from little Tabby. Sometimes you need to let a child cry it out, and then they’ll be better able to move on from whatever is upsetting them.  Other times, usually when you’re late, getting your child to settle down can by a monumental task.

Perhaps twin sister Marion has a calmer demeanor and can help sis chill out.

1 Neil Patrick Harris - The "Daddy From H..."

We’ve all had those parenting moments when our kid has a huge meltdown in public. Lucky for most of us, paparazzi aren’t there to capture our “mean mommy” or “mean daddy” looks.

Unfortunately for Neil Patrick Harris photographers decided that one of his four-year-old twins having a meltdown would make for the perfect story entitled, “Neil Patrick Harris Caught On Camera Turning Into ‘Daddy From Hell’”.

The pictures showcase a frustrated NPH trying to navigate icy cement steps with a toddler who is freaking out. When NPH pretended to leave his children so they’d follow, a parenting tactic we all use, he was described as quickly walking away from his children (one was weeping as four-year-olds do) with a coffee in his hand like he was some kind of monster.
