For some reason breastfeeding has become somewhat controversial. And it's not really clear why, since that is pretty much the reason for women to have those parts in the first place. Although this is completely natural and has been done for thousands of years, for some reason breastfeeding went out of fashion (if that's possible) and now breastfeeders are either applauded or harassed.

Somehow, feeding a baby with breast milk from mom's very own twin peaks is very much admired by women around the world. It makes women feel complete and powerful, being able to provide their little ones with nutrients from their very own bodies. Not to mention that there are so many benefits for baby and mom from breastfeeding. Including lowering chances for cervical and breast cancers.

While society has accepted the fact that not every woman is able to provide milk (or wants to) and that formulated milk powder is just as good, many women still prefer to breastfeed for personal reasons. Some cite that breastfeeding will help strengthen their baby's immunity system, others claim to bond better with their little ones and the majority agree that it is a lot more economical to breastfeed (ka-ching!)

So it comes as no surprise when celebrity mothers who breastfeed are revered and practically worshipped (oh hail celeb breastfeeding moms with silky smooth hair and manicured nails). They look fabulous, reek of magnificence and rake in millions every month. Here's a list of those moms you'll either love and secretly hate hahahaha.

15 Scarlett Johansson

First up would be the Avengers' very own Black Widow and the lead actress from 'Ghost in the Shell'. This husky beauty claimed that breastfeeding helped her body get back into shape. Really? Is it the way you breastfeed? Why are the rest of us still looking like potato sacks then?

Oh wait, (smacks self on forehead) she has a personal trainer and tons of 'assistance' that the rest of us normal citizens do not have. Now I get it!

But no matter, it still takes alot of determination to wake up in the middle of the night or stop halfway through a movie shoot or editorial just to satisfy your baby's non stop hunger. Celebs like Scarlett Johansson probably have irregular working hours and to be able to breastfeed (even with a truckload of help) is still no small feat so kudos to this multiple Golden Globe nominee actress.

14 Helena Bonham Carter

Quirky, but talented actress and wife to an even quirkier and talented movie director Tim Burton is another celebrity who made headlines with her choice and ability to breastfeed.

This milk from mah boobs mum stated that she had finally found the purpose of her twin peaks after having to carry her melons around for decades. "They've finally been put to good use," she was once quoted saying. Wow, and here I thought they were just accessories for celebrities to flaunt, you know, much like how they wear their Chanel handbag and Jimmy Choo shoes.

So happy she finally found a purpose for them! Yippee!

Sarcasm aside, it is wonderful to see a famous actress who didn't take the breastfeeding phenomena too seriously and shame those who are not able to. And credits to this mother who in her mid forties would still breastfeed her baby despite how tiring it may have been for her.

13 Jennifer Garner

Ex Mrs Affleck and currently very single, and hot mama is also a member of the 'I feed my baby milk from my boobs club.' At the time she was breastfeeding her daughter, she was working on set and often had to retreat to her trailer to feed her little one while still in costume.

Imagine her with the dirt and grit from her shirt and she still had to feed her baby. That's one way to strengthen the immune system of your child. Fake blood, gore and all. Super!

Word has it that her daughter would go home with Ms Garner at the end of the day with fake blood and mud smeared across her face from having sucked milk directly from her mother's chest since the actress had no time to bathe and change before feeding her little one. Not exactly a sight you would want to behold. Kinky though.

No me wonders if Ben had liked that his daughter looked like a holocaust survivor everyday upon coming home or not.

12 Christina Aguilera

Song bird Christina Aguilera is also an advocate of breastfeeding. Like many other celebrity mothers, Ms Aguilera claims that breastfeeding helped her body get back into shape faster and lose that annoying post baby bulge (aka spare tire). Gaak! She did admit that breastfeeding feeding made her go hungry a lot faster though and she would end up snacking more often.

Hmm....then how does one slim down if one keeps snacking? **Smacks self on the head. Oh right, she probably has a personal trainer who earns 3 to 4 times more than the rest of us who slave away at 8 to 5 jobs (sobs!) just by monitoring her food and exercise regime  (why was I born to sing like a crow and not a bird?)

But on the bright (and bitchy side), she did gain weight after the her child grew bigger so that's a consolation for the rest of us. So go ahead and dig into the next bucket of strawberry cheesecake ice cream without feeling any guilt.

11 Salma Hayek

This hot mama has admitted to loving breastfeeding (me thinks either the celebrities are exaggerating their love for breastfeeding or they've never experienced blocked ducts and cracked bloody nipples) so much so that she felt like a breastfeeding addict.

Initially Salma Hayek told herself to give breastfeeding a try for just a few days and when the milk came flowing like the Niagra Falls, there was no turning back and the breastfeeding went on for nearly a year. Come one year later, Ms Hayek is a breastfeeding advocate and firm believer that breast is best for babies.

Sob fest starts for the rest of us who are unable to pump even an ounce of milk within an hour. Retreats to corner with a bunch of tissues to cry a river (cue to Justin Timberlake's 'Cry Me A River' song).

10 Queen Beyonce

Undisputed queen of hit after hit, the Bootylicious Beyonce has been praised for breastfeeding her child Blue Ivy (what a name!) While the duration of the breastfeeding adventure cannot be counted as long it was for a whole 10 weeks, one cannot deny that it was short either. Some people run dry after the first month or so. Others cannot even squeeze an ounce no matter how much they try.

Like the others, Ms Beyonce firmly insists that breastfeeding helped her to lose weight and to gain back her pre pregnancy body shape. Not to sound like a sour plum, but can I beg to differ? **Gets eggs thrown in face. I could have sworn she was much more Bootylicious before her baby came along. **Gets egged even more viciously but this time catches eggs in a basket to make omelettes out of them later mwahahaha.

Not only that, the former Destiny's Child's lead singer believes that breastfeeding has done wonders for her child's health and strongly encourages people to try to breastfeed whenever they can.

9 Gisele Bunchen

Supermodel Gisele once shared a photo of her multitasking (or rather being multitasked upon depending on how you look at the photo), breastfeeding her baby while being made up by her glam team. A model's got to look hot even when breastfeeding no?

That photo did not sit too well with many people, who felt they couldn't connect with her. Most mothers would be lucky to even have their hair in place while breastfeeding. The hottie also came under fire for insisting that every mother (read EVERY) must breast feed their child for at least six months.

She was seen as being unsympathetic towards those who had trouble producing milk. Later, to name up for the unending onslaught, she clarified in her blog that she was merely sharing her personal thoughts as breastfeeding worked out well for her.

8 Kim  Kardashian

Mrs West's breastfeeding adventure is slightly different from the rest of the celebrity moms. The sexy lady's attempt to breastfeed her second child was foiled by her eldest daughter who understandably at two years old got jealous when she saw mummy spending more time with little brother than her.

Whenever Mrs West tried to breastfeed her son, big sister North would cry a fountain of tears and tried her best to pull her mother away from little Saint West's hungry mouth. Imagine trying to breastfeed one child while the other is throwing a tantrum. No amount of nannies can put a mother's mind at ease with this kind of scenario if it were to take place day in and day out.

Other attempts would include big sister trying to stick a straw to the other breast and suck from them while little brother was nursing the other boob. Things got so bad Kim gave up breastfeeding after a few months and finally when her daughter came to her senses in one of those rare moments for toddlers that we should seize upon whenever we get the chance, and North told her mommy that she would not interrupt her breastfeeding sessions anymore.

By that time, Mrs West's boon ducts had tried up and little Saint was happily feeding on formula.

7 Adele

Hello? Is it my boobs you're looking for? Hit singer Adele has openly admitted to feeling pressured when breastfeeding her child. Apparently it was not easy for her to produce milk and most of the time the amount was insufficient to cater for the needs of her baby. Still, she tried and continued breastfeeding for a whole 9 weeks only to come out and announce that she had had enough of it at the end.

Using the 'F' word to describe the monumental pressure (I feel you sister) that the public had put on breastfeeding feeding, she said something that went like this, "The pressure on mums to breastfeed feed is (censored) ridiculous. You guys out there can just for (censored) yourselves. It's hard. Some of us just can't do it!"

Somewhere across the world, hundreds if not thousands of mothers stand up to give a standing ovation while the other half start booing and deleting their Adele songs.

6 Mila Kunis

Mila, wife to Ashton Kutcher (swoons and self slaps in the face), actress of box office hits and flops (who wants to remember Jupiter Ascending? People are still baffled this movie came from the Wachowski brothers. Wait...make that brother and sister) is another mom who has been breastfeeding her child.

Funny thing is, Ms Kunis has been ridiculed and shamed for doing so. While many people claim to support breastfeeding, a minority of those people simply do not know how to react when seeing mothers breastfeed in public.

Mila Kunis has spoken out about the public shaming she received and was quoted saying that America has sexualized women's breasts so much that the public is no longer able to view breastfeeding as well, just plain ol breastfeeding. She bravely suggested to those who couldn't take the view to just turn their heads the other way and refused to wear a breast coverall while breastfeeding citing that they would just 'get in the way' of breastfeeding her baby.

5 Penelope Cruz

Sexy momma Cruz admitted to being 'addicted' to breastfeeding having breastfed her first child for a whooping 13 months (imagine all those baby teeth nibbling at the nipples....ouch!) and was quoted saying that she would do the same for her second child.

Like many others she credited to being able to snack more without feeling guilty since she had to 'cater' for her baby. Now that's one way of dealing with food guilt. Me likey this actress. Somewhere across the room a mother or two starts digging into Mac and Cheese. The reason? They will need the extra calories to support their breastfeeding. Cheers of jubilation echoes across the world!

Snacking aside, it was not an easy feat for the actress to juggle between working on set, nursing her baby and dealing with bloody nipples that would hurt every time her baby started to suck and bite. Welcome to the euros of motherhood where our once sexy breasts that were adored by the name population have now become a source of adoration for our little ones.

4 Pink

Singer Pink, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore (such a gentle name), kept her second pregnancy under wraps until a few weeks before her delivery. The now mother of two is a pro when it comes to breastfeeding having successfully breastfed get first child smoothly.

A photo of her breastfeeding her son woke her 5 year old daughter lounged on her lap has raked in many praises by fans and instagram followers alike (no one can argue with the power of social media, especially photoshopped photos of celebrities looking seemingly casual and laid-back in what is supposed to be an impromptu snapshot).

Having admitted that while juggling between breastfeeding a baby and entertaining a little girl is hard work, Pink has admitted that her breastfeeding journey has not been a harrowing experience, unlike what some other celebrities have gone through.

3 Miranda Kerr

Hot model, mama and former Mrs Bloom got a lot of love for breastfeeding. Nature was kind to this leggy model and gifted her with smooth breastfeeding sessions for a year and a half. A whooping year and a half folks! This ain't no easy feat. She credited her ability to return to the runway early (within two months and never looking like she even got pregnant) to the increased metabolism rate due to breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding? Sign me up!

And when she had to do photoshoot and editorial shots, she would happily pump away and store her milk for her precious little one. Ahhh, the dedication of a mother. If the job required her to be away from her son for longer than 2 days then she would bring her baby along to nurse him (I think she must have missed out on the part of an entourage of nannies).

Still the fact that this luscious model dotes on her son and gives him her best deserves nothing but respect from the rest of us. Salute!

2 Gwen Stefani

Front woman of No Doubt previously shared one of the most natural and relaxing photos of her breastfeeding her baby. This photo went on to become of the the most viewed photos on instagram by fans and followers alike. It was a very natural shoot with the 44 year old dinner dressed in casual tee and jeans nursing her 5 month old at a comfortable concrete bench near the Swiss Alps.

She looked radiant and happy, probably smiling at her husband who took the photo. Ms Stefani went on to breastfeed her son for 13 months, which is quite an impressive feat considering how a baby starts teething after a few months and sinking their teeth into your nipples without knowing how much it hurts mommy.

The 'Don't Speak' singer confessed to having enjoyed breastfeeding and bonding with her son, but was also very frank in saying that she was relieved her breastfeeding days were over. Guess nibbling baby teeth and erotic adult nibbling can be very different after all.

1 Kristen Bell

Kristen Bell, most noted for her voice as Anna in Disney's animation hit, Frozen, and known by every hot blooded male for her role in Assassin Creed, is also a mother who breastfed her child (wonder of wonders! She sounded so young as Anna in Frozen!)

She has been extremely vocal about her opinions on breastfeeding citing that when one chooses to breastfeed, then one's duties and responsibilities are to feed the child regardless of how people might judge you. Who cares if people accidentally get a glimpse of your areola while you breastfeed your hungry baby in public?

If a mother has decided to breastfeed in public then she should come to terms about being judged and just try to be as comfortable as possible. According to Ms Bell, if people get disgusted at the sight of her breast or get turned on then it's their problem, not hers. To Ms Bell, she is only carrying out her rightful duty as a mother to feed her baby. Take that gossip mongers!
