In a world where we are all pretty much obsessed with the lives, opinions and lifestyles of celebrities, those celebrities thankfully give us plenty to talk about with their crazy antics, nude bum sharing and off-the-cuff remarks.

How many times has Kim Kardashian broken the internet? In fact, the Jenner/Kardashian clan are top of the poles to win in the viral internet sensation stakes. For me, celebrities need to have something to say for me to take notice, rather than a sultry pout or provocative pose. Sorry Kim K, but there's only so many times I care to see your butt blasted across a magazine cover or on my Twitter feed.

Celebrities have a fantastic platform, with the internet and social media at everyone's fingertips, to spread a message that will resonate with others or help others who may be in the same situation. We've seen celebrities use their status to help charities, expose multinational corporations with hidden agendas and spread helpful information that quite frankly needs to go viral. Not rear ends.

Celeb Mums go through the same glut of emotions, trials and tribulations that we regular folk go through. There are elements of parenting that are the exact same whether you are a middle income family or a $250,000 fee an episode kind of girl. And yes, every once in a while, one of us regular girls with a job at Walmart and two kids under two years old, manages to have a blog post or a Facebook post go viral. Celebrities have the opportunity to spread their message fast and far and wide. And that's what has happened with these fifteen celeb Mums, who either posted something on the internet and received worldwide attention, or retaliated for something that quite frankly is none of anyone else's business. I salute these celeb Mums who opened up conversations that needed to be started.

15 Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon is ageless and stunningly beautiful at that. Recently, the world has been shook as photographs of the age defying 40 year old and her teenage daughter Ava, 17, have gone viral and broken the minds of the internet. It's plain to see that the pair could easily be mistaken for sisters, some have even said twins. In fact, I'd imagine they are being constantly hounded by paparazzi as more and more images of the two together are creeping out. Each and every image is shocking as they leave us all guessing who is who.

Since Ava, whose Dad is actor Ryan Philippe, was a pre-teen we've noticed the incredible resemblance between the mother and daughter. The Big Little Lies star has obviously great genes as she has a perfect complexion much like her seventeen year old daughter. With that, the pair have striking similarities, as they both sport beautiful blonde hair, identical deep blue eyes and a smile so similar you'd swear they were a mirror image of one and other. In fact, if it wasn't for Ava's nose ring, the world wonders if we'd be able to tell them apart at all.

14 Gisele Bunchen

It's safe to say that this image of Gisele Bundchen breastfeeding her daughter while getting her hair, nails and makeup done before a photo shoot, resulted in quite a few social media shares, likes and comments. Both positive and negative. Of course, isn't a bit of controversy an important element in breaking the internet! Is this Instagram shot of Gisele breastfeeding her one year old daughter Vivian, the epitome of the working mom who multitasks or the life of luxury?

As a mother of two, Gisele is still one of the top rated, world class models, and work doesn't stop. As a modern Mum, Gisele, after sharing this image on Instagram, I believe, was trying to show how proud she is to be able to feed her child and what it is like to be a multitasking Mum. However, she was criticised badly for this post, which she captioned with, "What would I do without this beauty squad after the 15 hours flying and only 3 hours of sleep #multitasking #gettingready"

Gisele has previously suggested that it should be law for women to breastfeed, acting as a breastfeeding advocate, who believes women should be supported in their role of mother. However, she received backlash for this image with an onslaught of commenters suggesting that she was lucky to be able to breastfeed in such space and luxury which isn't afforded to the ordinary working mother.

It's no surprise this image shook the world wide web and almost broke it with it'so controversial message on both sides of the fence.

13 Jennifer Garner

Body shaming is one of the most psychologically damaging things we can do to one another. Needless to say, it can be very difficult for a new mother to shift the extra pounds she accumulated over her pregnancy for one reason or another. With that, a woman should never be shamed into trying to lose the weight quickly and "bounce back" to her pre-pregnancy body.

Jennifer Garner, was sadly the victim of body shamers after her third (and final) pregnancy but she proudly and loudly stood up for herself and every other Mum whose body has changed after having babies. In a 2014 interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Jennifer, who won a Golden Globe Award and a Sag Award for her work on Alias, proudly said after rumours abounded that she may be expecting, "I am not pregnant, but I have had three kids and there is a bump... From now on, ladies, I will have a bump, and it will be my baby bump. It’s not going anywhere. Its name is Violet, Sam and Sera."

Jennifer's sentiment resonated with so many Mum's who suffered ridicule and pressure to lose the baby weight. So much so that her thoughts were quickly shared worldwide.

12 Pink

Grammy Award winning artist, Pink, was hit with backlash for sharing an Instagram post which showed her breastfeeding her daughter in public. In 2016, Pink, in honour of National Breastfeeding Week, proudly posted the image of what she called a "healthy, natural act between mother and child." While she did, of course, receive beautiful, supportive comments on the post, there were those who said they found the image "disgusting," and said that she was "oversharing."

Pink has come across criticism before for her breastfeeding opinions and images but this time, the vast majority flocked to her Instagram account to thank and praise the star who advocates for breastfeeding. Her followers said, "Thank you Pink for normalising breastfeeding a toddler." While another said, "My son is still feeding at 29 months and it is by far the best experience of my life… makes me proud to see this.'

Another agreed, "What is more beautiful than mother providing for her child? Thank you for sharing such lovely moment."

11 Chrissy Teigen

Why the world feels it has a right to question or judge another person is beyond me. Model Chrissy Teigen came under a constant barrage of fire from the world of social media who decided it was their place to criticise and chastise the new Mum for stepping out for a date with husband, John Legend. The reason she received such criticism and why this moment went viral almost breaking the internet? Because baby Luna was born just ten days previously.

It is a new mother's preogative and right to decide when she is ready to leave her newborn, be that two weeks later or two years later. It's a personal choice and no one has the right to suggest that the mother is wrong. While commenters deemed it too early for her to leave her daughter, Luna, Chrissy did not lie down and take the abuse instead tweeting the following morning, "I went to dinner. People are pissed. Good morning!"

Chrissy, who has had to face her critics before, had no problem in defending herself against the barrage of negative comments and took it all head on with sarcastic tweets and messages.

10 Blake Lively

Blake Lively, who is famously known for her role in Gossip Girl, is a style icon so many of us have watched over the years. Her first, beautifully understated and classic pregnancy announcement went viral in 2014, as herself and husband Ryan Reynolds (who has broken the internet so many times with his hilarious tweets on parenting) announced they were expecting their first child through a post on her website Preserve.

The beautiful post showed an image of Blake cradling her baby bump alongside other photographs of pregnant women with a message that celebrated all pregnant women and mothers saying, "Preserve at its core is about family. 'Family' is the single word our founder, Blake built this home on.

"We have something for men, for women, for the old, but we realised, we don't have anything for the new. With family on our mind, we looked to the origin of it all—to the women in our lives who are right there, at that special moment; at the creation of family. "Today we celebrate them. With food to fill their tummies (as if that needs more filling), presents to soothe their tired (and swollen) soles, toys to warm their baby's souls, projects to provoke them, and decorations to inspire creativity and merriment in all. "We had too much fun with this. Because there's so much to share, we break up our first ever Preserve Celebration into multiple parts. In the upcoming days we will bring even more treats and fun. The entire next month will be sprinkled with highlights for women in this exciting chapter of their lives. Congratulations to all the expecting mothers out there. And thank you for being a part of our Preserve family."

In fact, with Blake's incredible style and classic composure, the majority of her social media posts sharing her stunning maternity style have gone viral. Not afraid to walk the red carpet with a baby bump, she has beautifully dressed her pregnant figure to the envy of so many. As a duo, Blake and Ryan most certainly have attempted to overload the internet with their sheer power as a strong parenting force. Who doesn't love them?

9 Kristin Cavallari

Television personality, Kristin Cavallari was forced to hit back at negative comments she received as a mother after posting a vacation snap of her husband, Jay Cutler, and two of their sons on Instagram. After the images went viral and harsh comments starting coming in that her children were malnourished, not fed, and too skinny, as the boys spines are visible, the mother of three couldn't hold back and defended herself.

Many took the images of Kristin's children and tied them in with her book, Balancing in Heels, were she discusses her diet and that of her children. In the book, she states, "I truly believe that everything I need to flourish nutritionally is found in nature and that some stuff just shouldn’t be messed with, especially the food I’m putting in my body." Kristin, who always blocks her children's faces on social media, read harsh comments such as, "Looks like you need to feed your children too skinny," while another said, "Wow. I want to like this picture but for obvious reasons I cant. Please look into feeding your babies."

Most celebrities don't respond to comments on social media or avoid reading them altogether but after being questioned on her parenting skills, Kristin shot back with a sarcastic post saying, "Yep, I starve my children. Just blocked the most people I’ve ever blocked in my entire life. Happy 4th hahaha." Fair play!

8 Miranda Kerr

Miranda Kerr received a bit of backlash after she posted this image on her Instagram account, showing her breastfeeding her son, Flynn. What is a beautiful honest photo taken by Flynn's Dad, Orlando Bloom two weeks after he was born, is candid and refreshing as the new Mum proudly started her breastfeeding journey in 2011 with her newborn.

Sadly, this image incited a backlash Miranda was not ready for as she was inundated with negative remarks by commenters who showed their ignorant disgust for her sharing of the personal image. One commenter said "Put it away love, and show some decorum," while another said, "Women who breastfeed in public make me sick. It's just an excuse to get theor baps out. They're a disgrace and should be ashamed of themselves."

Happily, there were positive comments to Miranda's heartfelt image but isn't it usually the negative ones that stay with us longer? Thankfully, this did not stop Miranda from sharing more beautiful breastfeeding images with us. In fact, she has shared with us how beautiful she finds the experience and how much she loves breastfeeding.

7 Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's long awaited wedding was sure to go viral in an attempt to break the internet as the world waited with bated breath for the event. After teasing us for many years on impending nuptials, the A list Hollywood royalty did not disappoint and images of their wedding shook the world as they finally married in 2014.

The stunning Angelina turned out as one of the most classically dressed brides with a beautiful mothering twist. The mum of six, wore a stunning bridal gown designed by Versace master tailor Luigi Massi. But the most incredible element of her dress was the long veil which was lovingly decorated by the couples children with drawings and images which were hand sewn onto the veil.

The couples wedding images were a viral hit in themselves. But when news of the pairs separation and ultimate divorce hit the headlines in 2016, fans once again reshared images of the mother's stunning gown as a reminder of the children who were now embroiled in this split. The shock announcement sent ripples through social media as the world could not believe that the romance, which so many of us believed in, was on it's knees and crumbling.

6 Mayim Bialik

Mayim Bialik, of The Big Bang Theory fame, has been a controversial advocate for extended breastfeeding and attachment parenting. She has been fairly outspoken and gathered a number of critics along the way who have abused her with derogatory remarks about her parenting style on social media and on her blog. She has shared her thoughts on her decision to breastfeed her son until he was four years old and allowed him to self-wean. On many occasion she has taken to her blog to defend her choices and to enlighten those who believed what she was doing was wrong.

In fact, she felt no issue with sharing a photograph of her breastfeeding her then three and a half year old son on the subway, which was shared far and wide by those for and against her and almost broke the internet. She took the conflicting, often negative remarks with grace and pride as she knew that what she was doing for her child was best for her and her family. "People laughed and sneered," she said as she defended her decision for not the first time. "Just because you do something your way doesn't mean you can judge people who don't... I don't think I'm a better mom and my kids are necessarily better off than yours."

5 Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham had no need to defend herself on a public forum as this image of her kissing her beautiful daughter, Harper, on the lips went viral and received some shockingly negative comments. She was, in fact, defended by a ton of people who saw nothing wrong with the touching photo.

Victoria, a Mum of four, posted the heartfelt photo on Instagram and received an incredible amount of negative comments and backlash from people who disagreed with her choice to kiss her daughter in what some commenters said was an "intimate way."

Many hit out at Victoria for posting the sweet mother- daughter shot, which celebrated the five year old's birthday. Haters claimed the image was inappropriate and sexualised her daughter. They judged her for what they classed as "disgusting," going so far as to even question her on the slight angle of her head suggesting she was tilting her head in as provocative manner.

Many thankfully came out in defense of Victoria and reinforced the point that it is only natural for a mother to kiss her child on the lips. Yes, cultures and views all vary but no mother should be judged for a simple act such as this when Victoria is clearly a loving and caring mother.

4 Beyonce

Beyonce's recent pregnancy announcement broke the internet in an incredible way as her fans, and seemingly the world, went into meltdown. The viral image of a beautiful, pregnant with twins, Beyonce during her maternity photo shoot was posted on Instagram in February and the internet went wild for the amazing snaps. In just eight hours the image accumulated 6.33 million likes and 334,000 comments. That has to be a record!

Of course, Beyonce's elaborate announcement has uncovered both well wishers, congratulating the parents on the impending arrival of their twins, and devious Internet trolls who mocked and laughed at the way the Mum chose to show off her blossoming bump and aligned a lot of their comments with jokes about the Trump administration. Clever trolls!

Since the veiled image of the superstar clutching her pregnant belly was posted, we've been inundated with hilarious memes and parodies across Twitter and Instagram, some which have gone viral in their own right!

3 Rachel Finch

Australian model and presenter, Rachel Finch has come under some incredible backlash which almost broke the internet as her controversial decision regarding parenting was discussed in a Daily Telegraph BW magazine interview. Rachel and her husband, Michael Miziner, spend every weekend away from their daughter as she is cared for by Rachel's mother Friday afternoon through to Sunday morning.

Rachel received incredibly negative comments from strangers who felt obliged to pass judgement on the mother of one. In truth, no one has the right to judge another parent who is doing something that is right for them and their family and their children are healthy and happy, regardless of whether or not it is unconventional. The situation of Rachel and her husband is entirely their decision but Rachel felt she needed to argue back with the naysayers more than once as their decision was scrutinised and criticised.

In her defence, Rachel wrote, "A Mother should never be made to feel they are not good enough for their child when they are doing everything they can to keep them safe, happy and loved. Only the parents of a child truly know what is best and should always have faith in their decisions. I value dearly the relationship Violet has with her Grandmother and I believe this is one of the most important and influential relationships growing up. I work hard so that I can provide the best future for the amazing soul we have created. I won't ever stop believing in her or the strength of the family unit."

2 Jamie King

Actress and model, Jamie King, most noticeably known for her role in Hart of Dixie, is a breastfeeding advocate who is using her Instagram to post beautiful and natural images of her breastfeeding her son, James. This beautiful moment between mother and son, which Jamie tweeted alongisde it, "Breastfeeding should not be taboo- and bottle feeding should not be judged- it’s ALL fun for the whole family" caused a stir.

Unfortunately, Jamie found herself defending the image, which accumulated over 17,000 likes, as many of our celeb Mum's who broke the internet with breastfeeding images, have had to do. Jamie said in an interview with Bello magazine, "I had been hearing so much BS about breastfeeding (being) the only way and that if women use formula there must be something wrong with them. And it made me thing about this thing within mommy-hood where there's all this women against women stuff going on, so I posted it because I believe every women has a right and a choice to do what she wants to do."

Jamie was praised and inundated with positive comments and remarks from Mums who loved and appreciated her opinion and comments.

1 Alyssa Milano

Alyssa Milano is an actress, producer and former singer, most famously known for her roles in Charmed and Mistresses. She is sophisticated and respected in all of her fields. Aside from her extensive charity work with PETA, UNICEF, and other organisations, she has also acted as ambassador for organisations in support of women and children in South Africa, Kosovo and Syria.

She is a woman whose voice matters. Since becoming a Mum of two beautiful children, Alyssa has proudly and unashamedly promoted and advocated breastfeeding. Over the years, many online social media websites, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook included, have had ridiculous policies regarding inappropriate sharing of certain types of photographs. Within the realms of prohibited images were breastfeeding photographs. Breastfeeding is the most natural thing a mother can do for her child and Alyssa is one mother who is proud and will not be judged or frightened off for feeding her child. Many of her breastfeeding photographs have gone viral on social media as the breastfeeding nation support her and her decision to breastfeed her baby.

She has retaliated on a number of occasions about every mother's right to breastfeed publicly and not be shamed into hiding it. In 2016, Alyssa famously hit back at TV host Wendy Williams, who criticized women who nurse in public. Her argument rightly countered the fact that it appears acceptable to show half naked women on billboards, magazine covers and music videos. And yet a breastfeeding mother is shamed into hiding under a blanket or feeding their child in a bathroom. Alyssa's interview with Williams and the resulting reaction from those for and against breastfeeding, went viral and opened up the necessary conversation once again with Alyssa proudly posting her own personal photos on Instagram.
