Becoming a mother is hard! A woman's organs move and their bodies grow just to be able to carry a life around for nine months! Then, they have to endure hours of pain just to have their nether regions stretch open to be able to fit a human head through! (The head is the largest part of the baby in case you didn’t know).

As if the very idea of creating life isn’t hard enough, life sometimes likes to throw us a curve ball. You know, just to make sure we’re hardcore enough to handle the sleepless nights listening to a screaming baby. And, we’ll admit it; there are moments when you’re going through your own struggles of becoming a mom (pregnant cankles) that it’s nice to know that there is a Hollywood Princess out there struggling too.

Other times it’s inspiring to hear these women, who seem to have it all, candidly talk about their struggles of becoming a mother. See, life isn’t perfect for anyone! Yet, whatever curve ball life decides to throw us, we can all get through it. So, here’s a little inspiration for you of celebrity moms who have ‘been through hell and back’ just to be able to have the joys of a holding a new bub who will scream in the middle of the night.

15 Pink - Breeched

Sometimes you can take all the classes and make the most detailed birth plan in the world and your labor will still throw a curve ball at you. Singer and songwriter, Pink got candid about how her stubborn little one changed her plans for her delivery. “I was really looking forward to the whole rite of passage- giving birth perfectly present, unmediated, in the way nature intended.” Pink told People Magazine about her birth plan for her first child, daughter Willow Sage. “We took all kinds of classes and decided to work with midwives at the Sanctuary.” However, all plans changed when her and husband Carey Hart found out that their daughter was breeched. “We tried everything to turn her around. Turns out this little girl had other plans- she is my daughter after all.”

14 Jessica Alba - Baby Born In Amniotic Sac

“The doctor had never seen anything like it before.” Jessica Alba spoke of her unusual birth to daughter Haven in 2011. The actress and businesswoman experienced a phenomenon that happens with approximately one in 80,000 births. Her daughter Haven was born in the amniotic sac. Typically, the sac breaks during labor. We refer to it as the mother’s ‘water breaking’. Yet, in Ms. Alba’s case it was a little different. The baby had no idea that it was being born and behaved as though it were still inside the mother’s womb. Apparently, Jessica’s water never broke. “I was in the middle of pushing and he told me not to push.” She revealed to OK! Magazine. Luckily, the sac did burst moments after little Haven was born. We can only imagine how terrifying those first few moments were for the new mom.

13 Miranda Kerr - Thought She Was Going To Die

“I actually thought I was going to die.” “How do women do this? But if other women have done this, I can do it too. I was determined.” It took awhile for model Miranda Kerr to admit that her birth to her first child, son Flynn, was anything but the idyllic natural birth she first spoke of. And, when you hear that little baby Flynn weighed a hefty 10 pounds, you can understand why she was in excruciating pain. We’re sure that her dedication to yoga throughout her pregnancy was part of the reason that she was able to handle popping out a hefty child so well. How else did Miranda get through the ‘long, arduous, and difficult’ birth? “He [ex-husband Orlando Bloom] was with me the whole time supporting and guiding me through it. I could not have done it without him.”

12 Anna Faris - Gave Birth 8 Weeks Early

“My water broke in the middle of the night at seven months.” Listening to actress Anna Farris talk about her high-risk pregnancy followed with the statement that she ‘wants more children’ is purely insane. Yet, when she gushes about her hubby, Guardians of the Galaxy star, Chris Pratt, it all seems to make sense. “What makes up for whatever is happening down in your pelvic floor area, is Chris’s (her husband) face when Jack was being born is unforgettable.” The couple welcomed their son Jack into the world in August 2012. Yet, at three pounds, they also had to endure the unwelcome news that they might have a special-needs child. “Our Jack went from small and helpless to a strong, happy… boy,” Pratt has since told Ellen DeGeneres that the family is doing well. Sadly, it broke this week that the adorable couple aren’t’ doing well when they announced their split.

11 Megan Fox - Screamed For An Epidural

“It hurts so bad. It was so intense," Megan Fox told Access Hollywood about her decision to throw the idea of a drug-free birth out the window when she gave birth to her first child, “And, I thought I was gonna be really tough and the nurses would be like ‘She’s a warrior Princess! But, as soon as I got out of the car I was already crying for an epidural.” ‘The Transformers’ actress may have originally dreamed of a natural birth with hubby, actor Brian Austin Green, but sometimes life has a plan of its own. “I was screaming for an epidural!” Yet, how can you really complain about the pain when as a new mom you welcome one of the most beautiful faces she’ll ever love into the world? "It’s exhausting, but it’s amazing, you can’t imagine how much you could possibly love a human being.”

10 Tori Spelling - “We’ve Been Through Hell And Back”

She appeared on the cover of US Weekly with the quotes, ‘Tori Miracle Baby’ and the ‘We Almost Didn’t Make It’. For Tori Spelling, giving birth to her fourth child at the age of 39, truly was a miracle. At 20-weeks, the former 90210 star was hospitalized after being diagnosed with placenta previa - a condition that causes internal bleeding around the cervix. After being rushed to the hospital, she was put on bed rest for four weeks and came close to having to terminate her pregnancy in order to save her life. “I kept envisioning myself holding a healthy baby. That was my goal,” she told US Weekly. The actress and reality TV star did reach her goal. And, she went on to reach her next goal with baby number 5!

9 Kate Winslet - She Lied

It took four years before Kate Winslet finally broke the seal about her carefully orchestrated lie about her ‘joyful natural birth’. Instead, the British actress gave birth to her daughter Mia by an emergency C-section. She admitted that the lie was all due to the fact that she ‘felt like a failure’ for not having a natural birth. Talk about putting a lot of pressure on yourself! But, with an Academy Award, four Golden Globes, and an Emmy under her belt, it’s easy to see why Kate might be a bit of an overachieving mother. “I had never handled childbirth and I felt like in some way I couldn’t enter the ‘powerful women’s club’." She admitted. In 2000, Winslet got into the ‘powerful women’s club’ when she gave birth to her second child, son John naturally.

8 Kate Hudson - Stalked By Photographers

Many moms go into labour in the wee hours of the morning. However, for most, it doesn’t involve paparazzi following you as you’re going into labour. For actress Kate Hudson, she openly admitted that part of the reason she had a C-section for twins Ryder and Russell was because of the paparazzi making it difficult for her to get back home. “I was going to get induced because the baby was so big. Then my hips weren’t opening and I wasn’t dilating. I was in labour… We were being stalked by photographers. I was like: ‘I am not going home. I just don’t want to do this again. Let’s just have a C-section.” While there are obvious perks to being a celebrity, I can imagine that some of these women would give just about anything to be left alone for one of the most important moments in their lives - childbirth.

7 Maya Rudolph - Hospitals Smell Like Dead People

Maya Rudolph, comedic actress extraordinaire and SNL alum, is never one to shy away from giving the audience a good laugh. When talking about pregnancy and birth on ‘Chelsea Lately’, she managed to do just that - make us all laugh (or terrified) of childbirth. How does the actress feel about giving birth in a hospital? “It was scary, but it was kind of awesome. Hospitals make me nervous, because I feel like hospital equals death, like it smells like dead people and weird fluids that pickle people.” So, she opted to have a homebirth for her third child. Although, there were a few things she forgot about in her birth plan. “You have to put the placenta somewhere and I didn’t know it at the time, but someone put it in my freezer,” she laughed. Oh, Maya!

6 Zoe Saldana - Felt Helpless

Stepping away from that funny note, Zoe Saldana admitted to People Magazine how helpless she felt after the birth of her twins. “My husband [Marco Perego] and I were at the mercy of our nurses and doctors. Our children’s lives depended on their every move.” Her children, twins Cy and Bowie, were born premature and needed assistance breathing, feeding, and were kept in incubators to protect their fragile immune systems. She described the experience as: “This equipment can mean the difference between life and death for a child. If a child can’t breathe and doesn’t have the equipment to help him breathe we can’t help him with our own hands.” The experience led to her involvement in the non-profit Brave Beginnings, which places a focus on ensuring that hospitals have the equipment needed to care for premature babies.

5 JWoww - ‘God Awful Delivery’

When a mother describes the birth of her child as a ‘god awful delivery’ you kind of wonder what happened to the poor woman! Or, you wonder if like many new moms she just wasn’t prepared for the pain. When Jersey Shore alum, Jwoww (Jennifer Farley) spoke of her birth to daughter Meilani, she claimed that the pain was so intense she considered adopting if she wanted to expand their family. However, the facts are she had an epidural and a relatively short labor with seven minutes of pushing. She has also said, “So, I had what’s called a rapid delivery. So, from four to ten centimeters in less than an hour she was out. And, I felt it all. It was the worst pain in the world so I’m so scared.” Makes you want to roll your eyes at the reality star’s over dramatization of her ‘awful’ birth.

4 Evangeline Lily - In Labour For 30 Hours!

Just the very thought of a 30-hour labour is enough to make most women’s uterus hurt. For the former ‘Lost’ actress, Evangeline Lily, she endured a dreaded 30-hour labour. While it was from the comfort of her home, she admitted that eight of those 30-hours were strictly dedicated to pushing. “After about five hours of pushing, my midwife and my birthing assistant said, ‘You know, we have a few suggestions. And, I was like ‘Really? After five hours of pushing you have a few suggestions? You couldn’t have told me five minutes in?” Evangeline said on ‘The Tonight Show With Jay Leno,’ while promoting her latest film, ‘The Reel Steel.’ However, it doesn’t appear that the intensive labour has dampened her desire to have an entire ‘brood’. The actress admitted that if she weren’t working she would try to have an entire basketball team!

3 Melissa Joan Hart - Being A Mother Is Tiring

“Both pregnancies were traumatizing. I just realized there is no way to bring a baby into the world and not have it be a traumatic experience! The first time… I was fat. I had heartburn, my feet hurt, it was awkward. The second time, I was chasing a 2-year old all over the place… I was working and trying to hide it from the industry.” Melissa Joan Hart is an actress, director, producer, and all-around businesswoman with three little ones to look after. And, she’ll admit that it ain’t easy, especially if you’re trying to have it all while being pregnant with baby number three! “I feel so tired all of the time," she People Magazine at the premiere of ‘What To Expect When You’re Expecting’. It’s a sentiment shared by many…or should we just say all moms.

2 Brooke Shields - Wanted To Jump Out Of A Window

Brooke Shields has been the celebrity voice for postpartum depression since she first admitted in the noughties that she had thoughts of driving her car into a wall and jumping out of a window after the birth of first child, daughter Rowan. The model and actress has also admitted that it was also the entire process of getting pregnant and going into labour that was depressing. Brooke had to endure a year of tears and six IVF’s before she was able to get the news that she was pregnant. “I felt pathetic", she said about the pain of not being able to conceive. When she went to the New York University Medical Center she had to endure 24-hours of labour where ‘nothing happened’ and she had only dilated by 3 centimeters. “I had to have the C-section,” she told People Magazine.

1 Beyoncé - Twins Born A Week Early

Did you miss the news that Beyoncé gave birth to twins on June 12th? Beyoncé may not have plans to reveal the complications of her pregnancy and delivery, but sources close to the singer are willing to talk. Rumor has it that it was ‘dramatic’ and ‘chaotic’. The hospital even had to have trial runs with her security team at LA’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where the twins had to remain for a week. They were born premature and it’s speculated that they had jaundice, a liver condition that causes the eyes and skin to turn yellow. And, her pregnancy was rumored to be less than ideal this time around. A source close to the power couple revealed to Enews! That "Bey is having a harder time this pregnancy with keeping up her energy.” But, now we hear that all is well with Queen Bey.
