Kim Kardashian has become a style icon and a household name. She has a large presence on social media, with a following of 104 million on Instagram alone. She also happens to be the wife to rapper Kanye West and a mother to their two children - a daughter, North West, and a son, Saint West.

Since it first aired in 2007, the Kardashian's reality show, "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" has garnered millions of fans and viewers around the world. It revolves around the personal and professional lives of Kim Kardashian, and her family members. In particular, her mom, Kris Jenner, and her sisters, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie. The fourteenth season just started airing last month, in October of 2017.

The reality star of the hit E! series is known for her fashion statements on red carpets. It has changed quite a bit through the decades, with the evolution of trends and fads.

The Kardashian family first rose to public notoriety when their father, Robert Kardashian, was one of the lawyers of O. J. Simpson during the murder trial of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson. Kim and her family grew up hanging out with O. J. and Nicole, and they even spent vacations together. Of course, everyone knows Kim rose to fame with the release of her adult tape with Ray J, and her relationships with Reggie Bush, Kris Humphries and Kanye West. Kim Kardashian is also known for one of her very first jobs: organizing the closet of socialite and heiress, Paris Hilton. She worked as a stylist in her earlier days. (There are many old photos of the two together, they even had matching metallic Louis Vuitton handbags!)

Kardashian's style is always evolving. Just last year, Vogue, named her a "pop culture phenomenon." She's on Time's list of "the 100 most influential people." She's reported to be the highest paid reality star of all time, with her annual earnings being around $53 million dollars! Kim Kardashian always makes sure she looks like a million bucks, her style is just ever changing from year to year.

15 Boots! Boots! Boots!

These boots were made for walking! Something Kim wore for years before having babies, were a bunch of different boots. Whether she was on a red carpet or on the go running errands - she wore them. She still wears boots from time to time, though not as frequently as she used too. The boots she opts for now are very high fashion. Before she would wear multiple styles: thigh high boots, high heeled leather boots, go-go style boots, low rise boots, etc.

Kim would rock them with denim jeans or with a party dress. Another accessory she loved to pair with her boots were belts. She wore so many different types of belts with a variation of outfits, whether it was paired with a top or a dress. In 2006 she went to the launch of The Godfather game and wore boots with a pair of jeans, a v-neck top, gold hoop earrings and paired it with a handbag that matched the color of her boots. Check out the suede boots she wore to the Jay-Z "Kingdom Come" album release party in 2007. Boots never go out of style.

14 Bombshell Satin

Satin on satin on satin. Back in 2006, in Los Angeles, Prada celebrated the opening of "Waist Down - Skirts By Miuccia Prada." Kim wore this neutral toned, satin number with a fabric belt tied into a bow around her waist to celebrate the occasion. Kim was also a huge fan of plunging necklines and short dresses, which were and still are popular choices for celebs on the club scene. This became her signature look.

There are tons of photos of her wearing a plunging neckline with a short dress to numerous events and countless red carpets. She wore this red satin dress to Nick Cannon's celebration of his birthday and the opening of PNB Nation, back in 2006. Kim was big into heavy accessories, as that was super trendy in the early to mid 2000's. Kim paired gold earrings and bracelets with this look. If it's not gold, it has to go.

13 Divine Body Bandage Dresses

What is steamier than a bandage dress? The answer is nothing. Another one of Kim Kardashian's famous looks, that she frequently would rock prior to having children, are her body hugging dresses. The bandage dress was made popular by fashion designer Hervé Léger and still remains a popular style. The style is also known as "body-con." It hugs a woman's every curve and accentuates all of her best assets. The style really is empowering to women.

She wore this beautiful Hervé Léger dress with a sweetheart neckline. Often Kim would opt for fun, bright colors and neon colored dresses and shirts. Kim Kardashian rocked this tight purple dress in 2007 at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week fall shows. (She sat front row and hung out backstage at shows, of course.) Kim also owns with her sisters, the fashion boutique - DASH. The store has different locations in multiple cities. She's been known to rock a bandage dress to events for the store.

12 Many Types Of Patterns And Prints

Kim Kardashian used to rock a ton of different prints and patterns. She used to wear a lot of detailed dresses and shirts, with over the top embellishments. She also used to like a lot of heavy layering, as well as a lot of accessories. Now she typically wears solids with neutral colors. Kim wears a lot of black and gray, it is what her wardrobe mostly consists of these days. It's very high fashion and chic. Ever since getting together with Kanye West in 2012, he started being her unofficial stylist. It was even depicted on the show, "Keeping Up With The Kardashians." He had her closet cleaned out, and got rid of her old clothes to make room for new designer goods. (What a nice gift, to have a brand new wardrobe!) Kim was loving it and said, "My style is evolving and changing, and I think it should, because that's what life is about."

11 Pretty Plunging Neckline Numbers

Plunging necklines are one of Kim Kardashian's signature looks. Back in the summer of 2012, she made an appearance in Las Vegas in her black plunging neckline number. She had hosted "Rehab Sunday" at the Hard Rock Hotel. She was also sporting sandals with the outfit, which she doesn't do often now that she is a mom. She used to wear sandals and jeweled heels a lot before motherhood, but now her footwear is mostly high heels. Kim still wears plunging necklines, whether it's on a red carpet or at events.

Since a few years before having babies, and even now after motherhood, her style is very high fashion. She frequently attends fashion week in New York and Paris, mingles with the best designers in the world, and only wears the most current looks from luxury fashion houses. Kardashian and West both have their own fashion lines. (Kardashian used to have a line at Sears too, remember?) Her boutique DASH does very well, and his 'Yeezy' shoes sell out at rapid rates.

10 White Out

There is something so classic about white, and Kim K used to rock white ensembles all of the time. She would accessorize her white dresses with both silver and gold jewelry. Her hair was often styled with soft curls or a sleek bouncy blowout. Another thing Kim Kardashian loved to wear before her mommy days? Bustier tops! In 2013 she celebrated her birthday at TAO restaurant and nightclub. She wore a white lace bustier top, with a pencil skirt, that showed off her figure. She had a Dolce & Gabbana 'Miss Dea Mosaic' clutch paired with it.

Kim wore a long sleeved white dress to the "Generosity Water Annual Gala" in 2012. She paired it with silver accessories and metallic heels. Kardashian still gravitates towards silhouettes that hug her curves. Just as she loved strappy stilettos then, she still does now as a mommy. Some things will never change!

9 Metallic Madness (Mainly Louis Vuitton)

Kim K love, love, loved her metallic handbags. In particular, she loved metallic monogrammed Louis Vuitton handbags. She had one in gold and one in silver. The reality starlet was seen sporting them each on several different occasions. She even had matching ones with socialite and heiress, Paris Hilton! Kardashian was seen with her mom in Los Angeles carrying her silver Louis Vuitton handbag with another tote. (You can never have too many accessories, right? Right.) Those two handbags haven't made an appearance since she became a mother, however; Kim is still a fan of metallic.

In recent years, and she has been known to wear Alexander McQueen metallic purses paired with fur. Kim Kardashian has an obsession with Louis Vuitton handbags, suitcases and totes, in particular though. (Spanning over the course of years.) When her daughter, North, was three years old - she bought her a Louis Vuitton handbag that cost $1,000. She's also bought her a very expensive Fendi bag, among other designer duds. She only buys the best for her and her children.

8 Elegant Embellished Glam

It's all about the glamour! A really big trend was embellished glam and excessive accessories. In 2012, Kim wore a black glamorous dress to the InStyle and Warner Brothers Golden Globe After Party. The weekend of the Golden Globes is one of the biggest deals in Hollywood. This after party was held at the Beverly Hilton, so you have to dress to impress. She really rocked that blue carpet! She complemented the look with dangling earrings and old Hollywood glamour hair. (Soft waves on the side, was a big hair trend for her.)

The dress was made of lace, and it was divine. Lace is still a very popular choice for clothing. Black is a very flattering color, and you can't go wrong with a little black dress. This floor length gown was to die for. Kim still wears a lot of black clothing as a mother, but not quite as sparkly as this look was. She does still go for elegant black outfits, though.

7 Va-Va-Voom Velour

Very velour! Back in the day, velour was all the rage. (Especially the Juicy Couture velour tracksuits!) Kim Kardashian, admitted that she had one in every color of the Juicy Couture tracksuits. She also admitted, that she still has them all and just can't part with them. She was spotted everywhere in velour - shopping, traveling, grabbing coffee. They are comfortable and make it enjoyable to travel in. Wherever Kim went in the 2000's, you could be sure to see her wearing velour. However; just because it is not as popular as it once was at its height, doesn't mean it's not still a trend. That's right, velour is making a comeback.

Recently this year, Kim rocked a velour Adidas tracksuit with heels - that paid homage to her previous outfit of choice. She has also been spotted wearing a velour tracksuit with heels while shopping in Paris. Fashion trends always come around full circle and become trendy again. Velour is here to stay!

6 A Lot Of Statement Accessories

In 2007, Kim Kardashian, was always wearing a lot of accessories. (In particular, making a lot of statements with her statement necklaces!) She would often wear chandelier earrings and big hoops. Now, she tends to opt for stud earrings. For a long time she was in favor of embellished accessories and statement necklaces. If she wasn't wearing a statement necklace, then it was a jeweled neckline. Before marriage and motherhood, she was into a lot of accessories and statements. Now she is into a simple, timeless, classic and minimalistic approach.

While she was first appearing on the show, she was known for a lot of prints, bulky bangle bracelets, hair blowouts, nude lips and smokey eyes. Especially when Kim and her sisters were working on their "Kardashian Kollection" she wore a lot of glitzy and shimmery outfits. Accessories make for great eye candy. The great thing about accessories, is that they have the power to make the whole outfit.

5 Hip Hooker Hoops

Hoop earrings are always going to be in style. There are so many ways to wear hoop earrings; because they come in different sizes, textures, and types of metal. Everyone should have a pair in silver, gold and rosegold. A decade ago, Kim used to wear hoop earrings all of the time. She wore them for both casual and formalwear. There are several photos of Kim K posing on red carpets and shopping on the streets of Los Angeles, wearing different variations of hoops. There were several pairs that she had that were sparkly and crystal encrusted. Other starlets such as Lana Del Rey and Jennifer Lopez have also made wearing hoop earrings very trendy. Now-a-days, she doesn't wear hoop earrings as much as she once did, though. Occasionally she will wear a pair from time to time!

4 Animal Prints Only Please

Meow! Animal prints will always be popular because it is such a fun choice and is aesthetically pleasing. There are many different types of animal prints you can wear, with many different color schemes. For a long time, Kim Kardashian wore tons of animal print. That could be leopard, tiger, zebra - you name it. She has been seen wearing a leopard print dress for the David Letterman show in New York, a leopard jumpsuit on the red carpet for a Kardashian Kollection event, dining at restaurants in long sleeved cheetah wrap dresses, and different leopard dresses and tops out shopping and running errands.

A popular choice of hers was in fall of 2012, wearing a Fausto Puglisi dress with a belt, paired with a pair of neutral pumps. In 2014, she wore a zebra print skirt at the Teen Choice Awards. (Oftentimes, she likes to pair her animal prints with black leather.) To this day, the wife and mommy, still wears a lot of animal print! It's better on the wild side. Animal prints are forever in style.

3 J'adore Jumpsuits

J'adore Dior and J'adore Jumpsuits! Jumpsuits have been a popular outfit of choice for decades. There is something so chic about a jumpsuit paired with pumps. Kim Kardashian has been rockin' every kind of jumpsuit - whether it is a classic cut silhouette, a military jumpsuit, a silk fabric one or a racer girl option. There are so many different styles, colors, cuts and patterns to choose from. Kim has opted for long-sleeved, off the shoulder, short-sleeved, spaghetti straps, and strapless jumpsuits. She's chosen both solid colored jumpsuits, as well as pretty patterned ones.

Kim's also switched up the types of shoes and accessories with each, sometimes favoring sandals - while other times preferring heels. The jewelry options also vary, sometimes she selects simple staple pieces while other times she wears statement pieces. From time to time, Kim still sports a trendy and upscale jumpsuit. However, prior to having children she wore them much more often. It also depends on the temperature and climate, she tends to wear them on nice summer days and on vacation in the tropics.

2 Lots Of Lingerie Tops

A romantic look that celebs love to rock, are lingerie tops. There are many variations to incorporate lingerie and wear it with every day wardrobe. Kim Kardashian has worn lingerie tops with denim blue jeans and high heels while out in Miami, Florida with husband Kanye West. She's also worn lingerie tops with skirts, and lingerie styled bustier dresses. Lingerie tops were one of Kim K's go-to looks. Once and awhile she still wears something that has a lingerie feel and style to it.

Lace and corsets are popular choices. Kardashian has been known to pair lingerie tops with her Adidas pants and choker necklaces. Recently, she has worn lingerie tops tucked into formalwear pants during the day. Who says lingerie is only to be worn at night? You can create day and night looks with lingerie tops and fabrics. Just because you're a mother, doesn't mean that you're not allowed to still wear lingerie and look attractive. Lingerie is love!

1 Bright Pops Of Color

A bright pop of color is good for the soul! Kim always used to wear a ton of bright colors. That included: dresses, jumpsuits, skirts, tops, pants, heels and accessories. Kardashian wore a ton of neon colors and was also a big fan of color blocking trends. It became trendy in the 2000's to mix pastel colors with neon colors. Kim opted for a bright pink blazer jacket with light coral pants. She was known for wearing Gucci color blocking dresses, such as her purple, tangerine, turquoise, and gold looks.

Although, since getting married and becoming a mother her color palette has become mostly neutrals, but she still does add a burst of color here and there. (It's usually a solid bold, statement color - like her bright golden dress and coat by Max Mara a few years ago that became popular.) Kim K hasn't completely gotten rid of bold colors though, just this year she wore a solid bright yellow top with a turquoise skirt at the Golden Globes red carpet arrivals, which was divine.
