Imagine being pregnant in the middle of summer. Big belly. Hot. Sweaty. Uncomfortable. The last thing that probably comes to mind is effortless glamour and fresh-faced beauty. But the celebrity moms-to-be in this list somehow manage to put on a bikini and look great. Glamorous? Check. Beautiful? Check. Hot? Definitely!

These celeb mamas are seen sporting itsy-bitsy, teeny-weenie little bikinis. They accessorize with drapey, lightweight kimonos, oversized sunglasses, and floppy, wide-brimmed hats. (And hopefully lots of sunscreen, too!) Not only do they look great, but they provide some protection from the sun!

It’s important to be extra cautious about sun exposure when pregnant, because it can cause overheating and dehydration. Drink lots of water, wear sunscreen, and stay in the shade as much as possible.

Here are some other tips for beating the heat

  • Do outdoor tasks in the morning or evening when the sun is lower and the temperatures are a little cooler.
  • Getting tired of drinking mostly water? Try fruit juices, fresh fruit smoothies, or even homemade fruit juice popsicles. Another idea? Pop a bag of grapes or blueberries in the freezer and snack on them throughout the day.
  • Put feet up to alleviate swelling.
  • Take frequent showers to keep cool.
  • Don’t be afraid to slip into a swimsuit and take a dip in the pool. Swimming is a great way to stay cool, but it’s also a fantastic form of exercise for pregnant women. Because the water supports the weight of the body, it can relieve some pressure on the spine and other joints.

Summer will be here before we know it, so let’s check out these celeb mamas for a little bikini bump inspo!

15 Alessandra Ambrosio

Alessandra Ambrosio has been a Victoria’s Secret Angel for over a decade and has appeared on over 70 international magazine covers – making the Brazilian woman one of the wealthiest models in the world. At age 12, she began taking modeling classes. By age 14, she was one of the 20 finalists in an Elite modeling competition.

In addition to Victoria’s Secret, she has also been the face of Guess, Ralph Lauren, Dior, Armani, Revlon, and Calvin Klein. She has appeared on the shows Entourage, Gossip Girl, and How I Met Your Mother.

She’s also a mom of two. In 2008, she gave birth to a daughter, Anja. Just three months later, she walked the runway in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. In 2012, she gave birth to her son, Noah. Six months after that, she walked in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show – this time in a $2.5 million jeweled bra.

14 Anne Hathaway

Actress Anne Hathaway was on vacation at the beach with her husband, Adam Shulman, when she realized that she was being photographed. Paparazzi must have been eager to get pictures of her baby bump in her simple black bikini, but she beat them to the punch, posting a photo on her Instagram page (to her several million followers) before anybody else could share their sneaky snaps. She noted that while the bikini pic might be out of character for her, she wanted to make sure that the image that got out in the world was one that made her happy. And one she consented to. And also one with a great filter.

Hathaway’s son, Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman, was born on March 24, 2016. He is the first child for Anne and Adam, although she has mentioned that she’s always wanted to be a mom and would like to have a decent-sized family.

13 Bar Rafaeli

In this black and white Instagram photo, a very nearly full-term Bar Rafaeli jokes that her baby can come out any time now, and that she’s ready… and heavy. But she looks fantastic in a bikini with a bandeau top and side-tie bottoms.

The Sports Illustrated swimsuit model (and former girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio) gave birth to a baby girl in Israel in August of 2016. The little girl, named Liv, was born healthy and weighed around 7 pounds. She’s the first child of Bar and her husband, Israeli businessman Adi Ezra. The couple got married in front of 300 friends and family members at a resort in their home land of Israel in September of 2015.

Bar has been the face for Hublot, Piaget, Escada, Agent Provocateur, Gap, and Loreal. She has appeared on the covers of Elle, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, GQ, Glamour, Maxim, Esquire, and several other international magazines.

12 Behati Prinsloo

Let’s count the reasons to be jealous of Behati Prinsloo, shall we?

1. She’s a Victoria’s Secret Angel.

2. She’s married to Maroon 5 front man and The Voice judge Adam Levine.

Okay, I guess we can just stop there.

Behati gave birth to baby girl Dusty Rose Levine on September 21, 2016. It sounds like the delivery went well and the baby was born healthy – to two elated parents. Adam Levine canceled a Maroon 5 show in preparation for Dusty Rose’s arrival. The couple was excited to show her off to family, friends, and fans – it sounds like Gwen Stefani and Ellen DeGeneres were among the first to get a sneak peek at the sweet little girl.

A few months after Dusty Rose’s birth, Behati was scheduled to walk as an Angel in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. She decided to skip the event, but it sounds like she’ll be back on the runway for the next one!

11 Gisele Bundchen

In the above photo, Mrs. Tom Brady is pregnant with their daughter, Vivian, and she looks fierce in a leopard print bikini. (Rawwrr!) Gisele has an older son, Benny, with the New England Patriots quarterback, as well. In addition, she is a stepmother to Brady’s son, Jack, whom he had with actress Bridget Moynahan. (Brady actually started dating Gisele when Bridget was two months pregnant. He married Gisele two years later in 2009.) Gisele has said publicly that she’s thought of Brady’s oldest child as her own son since day one.

Being married to one of the NFL’s greatest stars might make it sound like Gisele is just the gorgeous trophy wife, but it’s actually the other way around – the supermodel is the real breadwinner of the family. According to Forbes magazine, the supermodel’s work with Chanel, H&M, Louis Vuitton, and more have helped her amass an estimated net worth of nearly half a billion dollars!

10 Olivia Wilde

Actress Olivia Wilde and funny guy Jason Sudeikis have two adorable little ones. Olivia gave birth to their son Otis in 2014. The above picture was taken in August 2016, when she was pregnant with their daughter, Daisy Josephine. Daisy Josephine was born on October 11 – on International Day of the Girl.

Olivia is known for her roles in The O.C., House, Tron, Cowboys and Aliens, and In Time. Jason Sudeikis is an SNL alum who has appeared in 30 Rock, Hall Pass, Horrible Bosses, Eastbound & Down, Portlandia, and We are the Millers. Olivia and Jason first met at the season finale for SNL in 2011. Although interested in each other, they didn’t go on their first date until six months later. They have been engaged to be married since 2013, but have yet to tie the knot. However, marriage certificate or not, these two definitely seem to be happy in their roles as mom and dad.

9 Jamie King

This picture of Jamie King was taken three months before the former model and actress’s first son was born. James Knight Newman was born in October of 2013. Her second child with filmmaker Kyle Newman was born in July of 2015. The couple named their youngest son Leo Thames.

When Jamie was 20 weeks pregnant with Leo, she learned that he had a rare heart defect, known as TGA – transposition of great arteries – in which the two main arteries leaving the heart were reversed. Shortly after birth, the tiny baby had to have surgery to correct the defect. Jamie recalls breastfeeding him prior to the surgery and noted in an interview that her son had to be a certain weight in order to survive the operation.

Jamie’s boys have two very famous godmothers. Jessica Alba is godmother to James, and Taylor Swift is godmother to Leo. In celebration of Leo’s first birthday, Taylor Swift made a public donation in Leo’s name to the hospital where he underwent his heart surgery.

8 Jenna Dewan-Tatum

Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum met on the set of the 2006 dance flick Step Up. They tied the knot three years later. And even though Channing stripped down to a thong in Magic Mike, he’s been more about diapers since the arrival of the couple’s daughter, Everly, in May 2013.

Like most parents, Jenna Dewan Tatum has found that to maintain a happy home life, you really have to learn how to juggle marriage, motherhood, and work. The couple makes it a point to take time for themselves every once in awhile, and makes sure that all aspects of their relationship receive equal attention.

The couple has kept their daughter very private; photos of Everly are very rare. Rumors have swirled about the couple expecting another baby. In an August 2016 Instagram post, Jenna was seen wearing a purple mermaid’s tail. (It’s actually Channing’s – he’s starring in a gender-reversed remake of the Darryl Hannah/Tom Hanks film Splash!) and fans and the media alike all began speculating if Jenna was showing off a baby bump. According to Jenna... not happening!

7 Jessica Simpson

For their 2016 wedding, songbird Jessica Simpson and NFL pro Eric Johnson focused on one thing: their family. Jessica asked her mom, Tina, and her sister, Ashlee, to be her maids of honor. Johnson’s father was the best man, and Ashlee’s fiancé, Evan Ross, was one of 11 groomsmen in the large wedding party. The couple exchanged vows during a nondenominational ceremony officiated by the bride’s father, Joe. But the stars of the show were Jessica and Eric’s kids, 2-year-old flower girl Maxwell and 1-year-old ring bearer Ace, who received lots of applause during their walk down the aisle.

The two kids are very close in age. Jessica gave birth to Maxwell on May 1, 2012, and then ended up pregnant with Ace just four months later. As for whether or not the couple will have any more kids, Jessica told ET that she didn’t think it was happening in the near future.

6 Kim Kardashian

In an Interview with British GQ, Kim Kardashian explained that she and Kanye decided on the name North – it was supposedly a rumor circulating in the press, and other celebrities (like Pharrell and Anna Wintour) all thought it was brilliant. The name North kind of stuck. Another way of looking at it is that North, or the birth of North, was the highest point in Kim and Kanye’s life together. In 2015, North became a big sister when Kim gave birth to their son, Saint West. The name was chosen because he was such a blessing during Kim’s difficult pregnancy.

Rumors of a possible 3rd Kimye baby have been swirling in the media recently, thanks to a tweet from Kim herself. She retweeted a fan who posted “{Retweet} if you’re getting pregnant in time for Kim and Kanye’s kids line launch.” Not only did Kim retweet the message, but she also included a bunch of baby emojis… and a girl raising her hand!

5 Kourtney Kardashian

Not to be outdone by little sister Kim, Kourtney Kardashian already has three kids, and there are some rumors going around that after recently reuniting with boyfriend and baby daddy Scott Disick, they might be working on baby #4.

Kourtney and Scott’s oldest son, Mason, was born in 2009. The parents-to-be thought long and hard about what to name their first child. They were considering the name Mason, and then found out that the name means “stone worker” in Armenian – as does the name Kardashian. Mason’s middle name is Dash, though not for the Kardashian’s clothing store. It was Robert Kardashian’s nickname.

Penelope Scotland Disick, Kourtney and Scott’s second child and only daughter, came along in 2012. They thought the name Penelope was cute and mom Kris Jenner suggested the middle name Scotland. Reign Aston Disick, the youngest, was born in 2014 – on the same day as big brother Mason.

4 Tess Holliday

Diehard fans may know her as Tess Munster, Tess Typhoon, or Ryann Hoven. You probably know her as Tess Holliday, the name the famous model took when she got engaged to artist Nick Holliday. The couple got together in 2012.

But before Nick came along, Tess already had a man in her life – her son, Rylee, who she had when she was 20. Tess credits the birth of her son as her motivation to get out there and make something of herself. She has said that she used to wish she looked like the women she saw in magazines, but when she had her son, she finally became comfortable with her looks.

Tess and Nick welcomed their first child together in June of 2016. The boy, named Bowie Juniper Holliday, was 8 pounds, 10 ounces, and 22 inches long. Despite having already been a mom, Tess said told People magazine that she’s had to relearn a lot with her new baby!

3 Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend welcomed their baby girl Luna to the world in April of 2016. Teigen has been open about the couple’s struggles with infertility and her battle with postpartum depression.

And while she may have looked enviably flawless in her 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit spread, she was actually going through something a lot less glamorous behind the scenes. She was actually doing IVF while she was shooting in Zanzibar. She had a medical kit with her and had to cover bruises at the injection sites with makeup.

The model revealed on the show FABLife that she and husband John Legend had wanted children before they got married in 2013. Like many women, she had to deal with the pressure and pain of people constantly asking when the couple was going to have children.

Even after she became pregnant, Teigen was still so worried about what could happen that she reportedly had ultrasounds every week for the first few months of the pregnancy, to make sure that the baby was doing okay. She’s just fine, and baby Luna is gorgeous, just like her mama and daddy!

2 Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Actress/model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and actor Jason Statham met on the set of Transformers in 2011. They’ve been dating for years but have always been kind of quiet about their relationship. They have attended events together but rarely give details about their relationship or speak about each other to the press. They got engaged sometime after the holidays in 2015. Rosie is 29 and Jason is 49.

The former Victoria’s Secret model announced in February 2017 via an Instagram post that she was pregnant; she shared a snapshot of her showing off her growing baby bump on the beach. She can be seen wearing that fabled pregnancy glow and a black and white bikini in the picture, and her wavy hair is blowing in the tropical breeze.

Rosie officially debuted her baby bump on the red carpet for the launch of her Rosie HW & Pagie collection at Ysabel in Hollywood a week later, looking stunning in a simple little black dress, ankle booties, and minimal jewelry.

1 Vanessa Lachey

Vanessa Lachey’s gorgeous baby bump silhouette was taken by hubby Nick, possibly during their babymoon in St. Lucia. She posted the picture on Twitter, asking other moms-to-be to embrace their bodies and share their bumps for all to see.

Fast-forward a few years, and the couple now has three kids. Camden John is 4, Brooklyn Elisabeth is 2, and their youngest son, Phoneix Robert, arrived early, on Christmas Eve 2016. The couple announced Vanessa’s third pregnancy in September with an Instagram shot of the whole Lachey family standing in front of the doors to their new home, surrounded by moving boxes. The caption read, “We got a new crib. Now we need a new CRIB!” and a heart was drawn around Vanessa’s belly.

Nick is proud of his role as busy dad to the older kids and is pleased to be spending so much time with them while Vanessa bonds and takes care of the newborn.
