What do Ryan Reynolds and Ryan Gosling have in common? Lots. Both of these men are bonafide DILFS, but they have so much more going for them than simply sex appeal. For one thing, both guys are the doting fathers of two precious little girls. Another similarity? Both are head-over-heels in love with their gorgeous partners, and love to gush about how amazing the mothers of their children are. These facts alone are enough to make anyone swoon, but there's more.

Reynolds and Gosling are private about their children, and never use them as a way to get attention. Despite the fact that these two seem practically perfect, they are the first to admit they are learning as they go, and are making a few mistakes along the way. Want another reason to love this duo? Both of them are hilarious, sweet, charming and humble. To sum things up: if your name is Ryan and you're a dad, these boys are making sure you've got pretty big shoes to fill.

Ryan Reynolds's better half, the stunning actress Blake Lively, has said of her man: "I knew he would always be my best friend for my whole life. That was the biggest thing for me. I’d never known anything like the friendship that I had with him. I could like him as much as I loved him. All my eggs are in one basket, and that’s my family. That’s where my heart is. That’s where my everything is.” Sounds like he's a keeper. Blake is one lucky lady.

Ryan Gosling's love, the flawless actress Eva Mendes has never commented publicly on her relationship with Gosling, or confirmed that the two are even together. Their courtship started sometime around 2012 when they filmed the move The Place Beyond The Pines together. Even though she's been extremely private when it comes to Ryan, the look in her eyes when they are together says it all.

Below are 15 times our two favorite Ryan's proved they are practically perfect dads. Enjoy!

15 Team Player

Ryan Reynolds has been open about he fact that he's a very hands-on dad, and isn't afraid of getting his hands dirty. He's shared, "I have no problem waking up five times in the middle of the night and changing diapers, and as exhausted as you get, I have this stupid grin on my face all the time. And that’s not because I have a nanny or something like that. It’s just [Lively and I] right now, and I love it."

Even though Reynolds loves his life as a father, he's also admitted that is makes him more than a little exhausted. He's said, "These days, I think of blinking as taking tiny little naps all day."

When it comes to sharing his beautiful wife with his children, he's a true gentleman. Of feeding time, he's joked, "If anything else woke up every 45 minutes during the night demanding to see my wife's breasts, you kill it. [But with] a baby, you're like, 'Wahoo!'"

Sure, Reynolds is a bit tired because of his babies, but he wouldn't have it any other way. He has shared, "It's amazing that you can be that exhausted and that happy at the same time."

14 Facing His Fears

Ryan Gosling is a bit more private than Reynolds about his partner and their children. He has rarely spoken about his experience with fatherhood so far, but when does choose to share details about his personal life, he's as wise as he is good looking.

Gosling has said of life after becoming a father, "Your whole life, you hear what it's like to have kids, and all the clichés are true. I felt I knew that everything would be different, but until you experience that, there's no way to really know what people mean."

Even though his life has changed forever, he's embracing the most important role he's ever had: that of a dad. His two daughters, Esmeralda and Amada, are lucky to have him as their pop. He's dedicated to making sure they enjoy their lives, and always feel loved, safe and happy. Being a new dad can be terrifying, but Gosling isn't one to shy away from a challenge.

13 A Day At The Beach

Ryan Reynolds relishes any chance he gets to spend with his girls. He's said of currently being a bit outnumbered, “I’m just fine being surrounded by estrogen. I grew up in a house full of testosterone: I’m the youngest of four boys, and my dad was a cop, and that’s intense." He continued, "For whatever reason, I always got along great with girls."

Ryan has said of the unique name he and Blake chose for their first born daughter, "Before [her name] was out there, I didn't want to be the first guy screaming it out to the media. Because as we know, little girls turn into teenage girls and little teenage girls sometimes scan through the archives and go, 'Why did you do that?'" He's the sweetest, already thinking about how his actions today could affect his daughter later in her life.

He always wants to stay on his daughter's good side and shared after welcoming little James to the world, "I'm just excited about having a buddy."

12 Living The Dream

It's no secret that Ryan Gosling has been blessed with a sweetheart who is absolutely gorgeous from head to toe. It seems, however, he's more in love with her heart of gold and amazing ability to care for him and his daughters than he is with her outward appearance.

He spoke sweetly about his girls when opening up to GQ magazine. He said, "Eva's the dream mother, and they're dream babies, and it's like a dream that I'm having right now. I'm dreaming it all." Just stop it, already, Ryan. Could you be any dreamier yourself? Gosling is most definitely pleased as can be to be a papa and reveres his daughters and their mother.

Gosling is a proud feminist and has also shared of his ladies, "I think women are better than men. They are stronger, more evolved. . . . You can tell especially when you have daughters and you see their early stages, they are just leaps and bounds beyond boys immediately.”

11 Thumb Wrestling

Shortly after his first daughter was born, Reynolds posted this pic of himself holding his brand new babe's hand on Instagram and captioned it: “Thumb wrestling isn't always fair. Curiously, my hand is the small one.”

Little James didn't make life easy for her parents Ryan and Blake, and the two have had their share of sleepless nights. On not sleeping because of his baby, Reynolds has said," Our baby, in particular, is, we think, allergic to sleep. We think that she thinks that she's protecting us from the sleep monsters. 'Oh, I gotta keep them up, or the sleep monsters will get them!'"

So, what's a little sleep deprivation? Ryan is over the moon to be the father of girls, and has shared, "I never admitted it out loud, to myself or my wife, but I really wanted a little girl. It's the best."

Reynolds is obviously deeply in love with his baby girls and once mused, "I don't have to prepare to be wrapped around my daughter's finger. I have been wrapped around her little finger since the day she plopped out into this world." Sheesh. Could he be any cuter?

10 Manly Musings

As previously mentioned, due to the importance Mendes and Gosling place on privacy for themselves and their girls, few pictures of Ryan Gosling with his daughters exist. However, he's made a habit out of proving just what a great dad he is in the shots he's been in with other lucky children over the years.

The pic above is of Ryan fooling around with his mini Blue Valentine co-star Faith Wladyka and allowing her to don his sunglasses. So adorable! Of his own girls, he has said, "When you meet your kids you realize that they deserve great parents. And then you have your marching orders and you have to try and become the person that they deserve."

Um, Ryan, hate to break it to you, but, when it comes to doing a good job at being a dad, you're pretty much a black belt in fatherhood. Please just stop. You're making the rest of us look bad.

9 Smooth Sailing

Ryan Reynolds currently has over 782,000 Twitter followers, and it isn't difficult to understand why. His tweets about parenthood are absolutely side-splitting. Here's a just few gems from this dapper dad:

"I'm teaching my daughter that the sun goes down each night because it's mad at her. Probably gonna write a book on parenting at some point.”

"On Father's Day, my daughter smiled at me. It was all the gift I needed as I packed a bag and left for 6 years to write a book on parenting.”

In reality, Reynolds is there for his daughters every step of the way. He loves spending quality time with his family, and shared soon after his first daughter's arrival, "Our baby comes with us everywhere, and we don't work at the same time." He's a father who isn't afraid to break gender roles, and is as hands-on as he can possibly be, causing us love him all-the-more.

8 So Glad To Be A Dad

Ryan Gosling recently won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Musical of Comedy for his performance in the movie La La Land. The man who is usually mum when it comes to his main girl and their family together put his whole heart out there during his acceptance speech, having fans around the globe melting. He never mentioned Eva by name, but it was pretty obvious he was talking about his one and only.

He said, “I’d like to try and thank one person properly, and to say that while I was singing and dancing and playing piano and having one of the best experiences I’ve ever had on a film, my lady was raising our daughter, pregnant with our second, and trying to help her brother fight his battle with cancer."

Gosling continued, "If she hadn’t taken all that on so that I could have this experience, it would surely be someone else up here other than me today. So, sweetheart, thank you. To my daughters, Amada and Esmeralda, I love you. And if I may, I’d like to dedicate this to the memory of her brother, Juan Carlos Mendes.”

7 You Can Do It, Dad

Reynolds is just as adorable when speaking about his amazing wife as he is when talking about his daughters. Blake and Ryan were friends before their courtship began, and this has helped make their bond rock-solid.

Ryan once joked, "I used to say to her, 'I would take a bullet for you. I could never love anything as much as I love you.' And then the second I looked in that baby's eyes, I knew in that exact moment, if we were ever under attack, I would use my wife as a human shield to protect that baby."

On taking care of their little one, he once shared, "I'm just a diaper-changing facility hooked up to a life-support system, but my wife, she's breakfast, lunch and dinner. She's a human Denny's all day long … and it never ends for her. She's the most beautiful Denny's you've ever seen though, I guarantee it."

Somehow, Reynolds manages to be super hilarious and incredibly sweet all at the same time, making him even cooler. Wow. We didn't think that was possible.

6 Quite A Ride

When it comes to parenting, Gosling has said he loves the "chaos" being a father brings with it. He once shared, "Maybe in my life I sort of put myself in situations that were chaotic, outside of my life. And now I have it at home, and I don't have to go looking for it."

Surprisingly, Gosling didn't really like being a kid himself. He has shared of the experience he had during childhood, "I just felt this sense of: I have a limited amount of time and, you know, I've got to get started. I also didn't like the arbitrariness of control that people seemed to have over me."

Like all little boys, Gosling grew up and we're all thanking the universe for how he turned out. He didn't always plan on being a dad and has said, "It's not something I really thought about, or even thought I wanted. I didn't have a romanticized idea of it...It came about in a very surprising and kind of organic way. There was nothing kind of premeditated about it, you know. It just suddenly was: My life had changed. And thank God it did."

5 Safe Embrace

Ryan is learning as he goes, just like all parents do. He's a quick learner, and has shared a few tips for other new parents.

On one occasion, when speaking on how to help a baby calm down, he shared, "I'm pretty sure my baby girl doesn't understand a thing I say. She doesn't like anything. There is no problem that a breast won't fix, though."

Reynolds has also admitted to being a bit taken aback when he saw his mother take care of his child for the first time. He said, "Early on I saw my mom handle the baby, and my heart jumped into my throat because she was just handling her like a piece of meat! Then I realized, 'Oh, this is a person who knows her way around a naked eight-pounder and is not slightly terrified.'"

Being a new parent can be scary, overwhelming and exhausting, but Ryan proves that new parents who take things a day at a time, and learn as they go, will be just fine.

4 Time With Dad

Once again, Gosling confuses us all by alluding to the fact that he has weaknesses. He's not fooling anyone. He's as perfect as men come. If aliens ever invade our planet and ask for a specimen to study that comes as close to perfection as possible, we will all begrudgingly hand him over to them.

Even though we know the truth about Ryan, he manages to make himself even more likable by being all humble and claiming he has things to work on. This guy is good.

He has shared of his fears as a father, "You're nervous that they'll get all the qualities of yourself that you have been struggling with, and then you realize that they're not you. And it's a relief..." You know what, Ryan? If your daughters turn out like you, the entire world will rejoice. Don't you worry your pretty little head one more second about your daughters not becoming amazing. They've been set up for greatness right from the beginning.

3 We All Make Mistakes

Blake Lively posted this picture on Instagram of her hubby toting their daughter James in a baby carrier soon after she arrived. The caption read, "Happy Fathers Day!!! ... @vancityreynolds Since the day our baby was born, I've felt so strongly in my heart that you were most likely the father.#ILoveYouSoMuchItsSilly" The sweet sentiment went widely unnoticed as fans chimed in left and right about the fact that Ryan was using the carrier incorrectly, and that it wasn't a safe way to wear a baby.

Ryan later told Matt Lauer, "That [baby carrier incident] is not the first mistake I’ve made, and I guarantee it won’t be the last.”

We love the fact that this pop wasn't afraid of owning up to the fact that he makes mistakes. He does a good job of reminding us all that it's okay to commit a few foibles.  In that same vein, parenthood is rarely glamorous, even for celebrities. He once said, "I was told that I needed to check her temperature through the rectum. I was like, 'No. Can't be.' There's a mouth, there's an armpit, there's got to be something [else] ... The doctor was like, 'No, no, no, just have one of you guys distract her, and the other one do it. She'll be fine' ... It all went well though. I didn't lose it. It came back out." Love ya, Reynolds!

2 The Natural

Once again, the photo above does not feature Gosling holding one of his biological babies, but does it really matter? This guy is obviously born to be a father. He's sweet, gentle, charming and honest. What more could a child want in a dad?

He once said, "I've learned it's important not to limit yourself. You can do whatever you really love to do, no matter what it is." He's embracing his role as a papa with his whole heart, and it's no doubt that his daughters can feel the love that burns in his heart for them.

On women, he's said, "I grew up in a family of strong women and I owe any capacity I have to understand women to my mother and big sister. They taught me to respect women in a way where I've always felt a strong emotional connection to women."

It's apparent that this dad is going to raise his daughters to be strong women just like the examples he emulates, and, thanks to him, they will help make the world a better place.

1 Grateful Dad

Ryan Reynolds has jumped into his life as a father with both feet, and has never lost his sense of humor despite the rocky road parents sometimes walk.

He once admitted, "Nothing better than spending an entire morning staring into my baby daughter's eyes, whispering, ‘I can't do this.’”

Reynolds isn't fooling anyone. He was made for the parenting gig, and he's embracing it whole heartedly. He admitted, "I'm like a dad guy now ... about a month ago, I was sitting in traffic, and I was just jamming 'These Dreams' by Heart. I was killing it in the car." Yep. He has arrived.

Reynolds would do anything for his girls. In fact, he once proclaimed, “I'd walk through fire for my daughter. Well not FIRE, because it's dangerous. But a super humid room. But not too humid, because my hair.”

After viewing the above photos, we are indeed convinced that the two Ryan's are as close to perfect fathers as any man has ever come. Keep up the good, work, guys! And don't be shy about flashing those abs every now and then. There's no law against dads also being smoking hot.
