As moms we all experience the mommy shamers from time to time. They want to give us their two cents on how to raise our kids, from how we should feed them to how we should hold them. They have strong feelings about everything related to parenting, and they aren't afraid to share their feelings with everyone around them.

While most moms experience the shaming from people they at least know a bit, celebrities receive it from everyone. There are definitely perks to being a celebrity parent, like the money or the wardrobe or the help but, there is also the flip side: everyone knowing everything about what they do.

Celebrities deal with the paparazzi, and when they post a video or picture to social media, thousands of strangers can comment on what they feel the celeb is doing wrong. Celebrities are still people with feelings, so it's a good idea for those who want to make comments to remember they are writing to real humans who don't love feeling mommy shamed any more than any mom does.

The good news is that celebrities often handle these situations beautifully, using their platform to shut down judgment and toxic behavior that isn't good for any of us. Plus, for every hater on the Internet there is someone who will step up and defend the celebrity parent against unfair scolding.

The following parents were shamed for some truly ridiculous reasons, but they handled it like the super parents they are.

16 Hilary Duff Kissing Her Son

Hilary Duff posted a Disneyland picture that every one on the planet seemed to have an opinion about. While at the amusement park, Duff kissed her four-year-old son Luca, her child with ex-husband Mike Comrie. Sounds innocent enough, right? Well, in the picture Duff was kissing her son on the lips.

People went crazy, shaming Duff and calling her behavior inappropriate, despite the fact that she was just a mom kissing her son and they were the ones looking at it as an act of perversion. Victoria Beckham suffered the same response when a picture emerged of her kissing her daughter on the lips.

Each parent has the right to decide what kind of affection is appropriate, but they don't have the right to say that innocuous acts between parent and child are wrong. Duff told her haters to stop following her on social media because she didn't need their sick minds offering judgment on her parenting.

15 Chrissy Teigen Going On A Date Night

Ten days after her precious daughter Luna was born, Chrissy Teigen stepped out with her husband John Legend to enjoy a date. Unfortunately, people on the Internet were not having it.

Some directly attacked Teigen and others used the passive aggressive approach, stating that they didn't actually want to leave their newborns, but, you know, everyone is different! Whatever strategy they chose, people crawled out of the woodwork to question Teigen's decision to go out without her baby.

Tiegen shut down the haters like she always does, and Legend helped. He pointed out that he hadn't been attacked, and he is also Luna's parent. He shined a light on the sexism that is almost always present when expectations for mothers and fathers are compared and said it wasn't fair to mom shame when fathers always get a free pass. Plus, they can go out on a date anytime they want. They are the parents.

14 Kristin Cavallari Accused Of Starving Her Sons

When Kristin Cavallari posted a picture of her sons on family vacation, she wasn't expecting the backlash. Standing in the ocean in their cute little striped swim trunks, her boys looked like any other kids their ages. However, commenters decided they looked malnourished and wondered if Cavallari was feeding them.

That's right, one picture led to the epic accusation of starvation. Though each kid grows at his own pace and there was nothing horrible about the way Cavallari's sons looked, people accused Cavallari of feeding them food that was too healthy and recommended she take them off a vegan diet. Apparently they didn't know Cavallari doesn't feed her sons a vegan diet.

Cavallari left the picture on her social media account but blocked commenters who basically accused her of child abuse, a good choice for any mom who doesn't need that kind of negativity, especially from strangers.

13 Reese Witherspoon Insulted For Her Breakfast Choices

Reese Witherspoon frequently uses her Instagram account to feature pictures of what she feeds her kids for meals. It's a sweet look into a celebrity's personal life and can help other moms with meal ideas when they are burnt out in the kitchen. However, Witherspoon's authenticity came with a price when she posted a breakfast she prepared for her toddler son with husband Jim Toth.

The cute breakfast idea was two cinnamon rolls for eyes and a slice of apple for a smile. Instead of comments about what a cute idea it was, commenters attacked Witherspoon for the high sugar content in the meal. They were snarky, judgmental, and mean, and they don't even know this woman.

What we feed our kids is a personal decision, and one picture on Instagram does not represent the entirety of what we prepare for our children to eat. Witherspoon took the insults in stride, and many followers came to her defense.

12 Charlize Theron Accused Of Being A Monster

Kids throw tantrums. Every parent knows this, and anyone who has even ever been around a child should know it. However, that didn't stop people from shaming Charlize Theron for the way she handled her son's parking lot breakdown.

When four-year-old Jackson made a run for it while Theron was placing her infant daughter in the car, she reached out to grab him. That's a natural instinct since a child running away in a parking lot means they can easily get hit by a car. Unfortunately, photographers took a picture as Theron was trying to get her son off the ground, and headlines that accompanied the photo accused her of dragging her son across the parking lot and being a monster.

If all of us had to endure someone taking a picture of us during any given moment of parenting, we'd all be labeled monsters. Theron was dealing with her son's fit while keeping him safe, but magazines used that experience to sell print and bash her as a bad mother. It was unfair.

11 Kelly Clarkson Bashed For Her Weight

We love Kelly Clarkson for so many reasons, but how she handles shamers is very high on the list. After Clarkson appeared on television after her daughter was born, Katie Hopkins, a British media personality, made several rude comments about her weight.

She shamed Kelly for having her daughter a year ago and still being large and implied that without a widescreen TV she wouldn't have been able to see Kelly's whole body when she was on screen.

Hopkins was swiftly attacked by Clarkson supporters for her vile comments, and when Clarkson was asked about the comments, she didn't even know the whole ordeal had occurred. Take that, Hopkins! That's how low on the list Hopkin's comments rank in Clarkson's world.

Clarkson kept it classy and said she didn't worry about what other people thought. She said she doesn't need outside affirmation and focuses on what makes her happy.

10 Beyonce Insulted For Being Too Sexy

Society wants women to be sexy, to really get into being eye candy. That is, until we become mothers. After we have kids, wearing something too revealing earns us shame since mothers should know better.

Beyonce is no stranger to this treatment. Her revealing outfits and sexy performances somehow make shamers feel free to question her. They don't understand why she feels entitled to dress and act a certain way when she is a mother, but she is happy to explain it to them.

As Queen Bey lets the haters know, men aren't held to ridiculous standards when they become fathers.  They can be fathers and businessman and sexual, and it's not a problem. Beyonce reminds us all that women can do the same. We can run businesses, be moms, dress sexy, and own it all while we're at it. Oh, and we can dress however we want and rock it.

9 Megan Fox Questioned About The Father Of Her Child

When Megan Fox became pregnant with her third child while separated from husband Brian Austin Green, people speculated about who the father might be. In fact, they made snarky, rude comments about who the father might be, implying Fox must get around.

Fox handled the whole thing like a pro. Using the hashtag #notthefather, she posted pictures of past costars who were not the father of her child. It seemed to shut up the nosy types who thought it was their business in the first place.

Other actresses, such as January Jones, have faced scrutiny when refusing to name the father. Though Fox confirmed that Green was the father, she didn't have to. She didn't owe anyone an explanation, and the rude comments were sexist in tone since men rarely get called out for impregnating anyone, but women are expected to explain themselves constantly.

8 The Duggars Shamed For Cute Baby Pictures

The Duggars live very unconventional lives, but that doesn't mean that every person who picks on them has a point. There have been times when they posted sweet pictures of their kids and were unfairly attacked.

When Ben, Jessa's husband, posted a picture of their son Spurgeon, the Internet freaked out because he wasn't wearing pants. Understand that he was wearing a shirt and a diaper. His precious, chubby legs were just showing, and followers deemed this immodest. The kid was three-months-old, so we're pretty sure he wasn't worried about pants.

Jill and her husband then came under fire for letting son Israel near local children when they were in Central America. The Zika virus was in full swing so people were concerned for Israel, but avoiding locals wasn't the way to go since Jill and her family were living there at the time.

Parents get to make their own decisions, but the Duggars always get an ear full no matter what decision they make.

7 Mila Kunis Criticized For Public Breastfeeding

For some reason people still don't understand that a woman feeding her child is not a sexual act. It's just a kid getting food. Mila Kunis experienced people's confusion when she breastfed her child in public.

Kunis says she respects every mom's decision, but she feeds her children when and where they are hungry. That means public breastfeeding without a cover happens, and she is fine with it. However, she has received dirty looks and insults for being a public breastfeeder.

The fact that most people are fine with ads showing lingerie models but not with women feeding their children in public is problematic. Women are allowed to breastfeed their children anywhere, and they shouldn't be shamed for it. Celebrities like Kunis help all women who breastfeed in public when they refuse to back down.

6 Mariah Carey Shamed Because Her Son Uses A Pacifier

Mariah Carey is a famous singer and mom of twins, but that doesn't mean she's safe from Internet critics who hide behind screens. When Carey posted a playful picture of herself and her twins, Moroccan and Monroe, celebrating movie night, the response focused on her son. Actually, it focused on his pacifier.

That's right, four-year-old Roc's use of a binky enraged those who saw the post, and they felt it necessary to call Mariah out for not weaning him off of it. Anyone who has tried to take away a pacifier or to convince a child to give up a favorite blanket or toy knows the struggle. Kids latch on to certain items for comfort, and it's not easy to make them given them up.

That's why many parents just wait it out and let children have their comfort item until the time to take it is right. What age a child gives up a pacifier is between the parent and child, and no one else needs to be worried about it.

5 Jana Kramer Insulted For Using Store Bought Baby Food

Country singer Jana Kramer was still recovering from the shame she experienced when she was unable to nurse her daughter when haters hit her again. They stayed on the topic of food and shamed her for buying baby food instead of making it.

While some women choose to make their own baby food, some choose to buy it, and that's fine. Fed truly is best, so unless a parent is starving a child, it's really no one's concern what the kid is eating.

Kramer let the mommy shamers know that she didn't appreciate their opinions and that unless they wanted to offer support, they could just shut it. She wants to share her parenting journey with her fans, but she has no use for the negativity and will shut it down ASAP.

4 Gisele Bundchen Bashed For Not Being A "Real" Working Mom

Does anyone actually believe that Gisele Bundchen, supermodel and wife of Tom Brady, is just like the rest of us? Of course not! However, that's no reason to shame her for proudly breastfeeding on the job.

When a picture of Bundchen breastfeeding while her makeup and hair team prepared her for a photo shoot emerged, it was met with mixed reactions. Some people were happy to see her promoting breastfeeding. Bundchen has always been an advocate for it.

However, other people felt it was ridiculous for a rich supermodel to offer encouragement to the regular moms of the world who don't have stylists and artists, not to mention jobs that allow their children to come to work with them to nurse. They took offense to Bundchen flaunting her elevated status, even though that wasn't the intent of her picture.

As women and moms, we're in this together, so there's no reason to tear someone down because they are doing what is best for their child and hoping to encourage other mothers to stand up for their breastfeeding rights.

3 Alicia Silverstone Shamed For Pre-Chewing Her Child's Food

When Alicia Silverstone posted a video to her website that showed her feeding her then infant son, Bear Blu, she received strong reactions from many. In the video, she is feeding Bear bird style, which means she is chewing up his food and then he retrieves it from her mouth.

This is called premastication and is sometimes practiced when kids don't have teeth but want to eat solids. That's part of the reason Silverstone used the practice.

Critics came at her calling the practice unhygienic and strange. They didn't understand why she let her child do this or why he needed his food pre-chewed.

Silverstone handled the situation with grace. She explained that this practice is common in many parts of the world and works for her family. She said she didn't regret posting the video and was very open to explaining the entire process for those who questioned her judgment.

2 Blake Lively And Ryan Reynolds Bashed For A Baby Carrier Error

Blake Lively posted a picture of her husband Ryan Reynolds, and commenters went wild. The picture was posted to celebrate Father's Day, and in it Reynolds is carrying the couple's daughter in a carrier on the front of his body. Unfortunately, he didn't place her in the carrier in the perfect position.

While Reynolds admitted later that he was new to parenting and should have had her situated properly, the comments were unnecessarily harsh, especially since Reynolds and Lively were first time parents. One picture caused these people to play judge and jury on the parenting skills of people they didn't know.

Other commenters were kind, admiring the picture and offering constructive advice that wasn't meant to shame the pair. Now that they have baby number two, we're pretty sure they are babywearing experts.

1 Pink Insulted For Drinking Decaf

While pregnant with her second child, Pink decided to have some coffee and the Internet lost its mind. It was decaf, she was sitting in the floor looking cute while resting, but apparently all the mommy shamers saw was someone enjoying something and they could not take it.

Though many women give up coffee while pregnant, some just stay under the recommended caffeine regulations and call it a day. Pink switched to decaf, and people still said she must not love her unborn child or care if the kid developed properly. They also took issue with the fact that she put her coffee in the microwave to warm it up, though I'm sure if she had decided to drink it cold someone would have had a problem with that.

Pink is awesome, she knows her business, and she did nothing wrong. However, she still had to deal with comments from ignorant sanctimommies, and for that we are sad for her.
