If you're a c-section mama, how many children do you have?0 2 months ago by The Inconspicuous Raccoon
I had a c-section with my first, and now have to have another one with my second.I know there's a limit to how many c-sections you can have, so I wanted a general idea.Is it 3?
I've had two... 4 years apart.
I've had three and after my second and my third one my doctor looked at my uterus to make sure it could handle another pregnancy. After my last child he said my uterus looked great I had barely any scarring and it didn't even look like I had had 2 previous c-sections. My first and second c-section was 2 years apart almost exactly and my second and third c-section was almost exactly 6 years apart. I was told it was okay to get pregnant again and have a 4th child. If and when we do have a 4th I am going to get my tubes tied because I feel as though 4 is our stopping point with kids.
I've had 4. DS1 and DD were 14 months apart, DD and DS2 were 21 months apart and DS2 and DS3 were 18 months apart. My doctor never said I didn't need to have any more, but offered a tubal after DD and DS2. I was going to do the tubal after DS3, but needed a partial hysterectomy so that took care of that lol.
A friend of mine had 5.. I know 2 of her c-sections were 18months apart (Her 4th and 5th kid)
iv had one natural birth and one emergancy c section. im thinking they will make me have another c section with this one.
It just depends on your Dr some say 3 max and Ive heard 4 from others. My sister's mother had 6 and probably would have had more.
ETA: I've had two emergency c-sections (including a failed vbac) and plan to try for a vba2c one day.
I've had 3. It probably varies person to person and how much scar tissue they have. But my ob never told me that my 3rd should have been my last or anything, I was just personally done and got a tubal. Also at my 2nd and 3rd c section, my OB removed most of my scar tissue.
