being poor is no excuse to be messy. I've lived on like 6 or 7 hundred a month before, it wasn't that hard, but I would never try it with kids!

That room is a horrible, disgusting mess. There are so many unsafe things about it. How awful.

The trundle crib idea seems really dangerous to me.

O.O Wow... just WOW. She's bat shit insane. She has to be. Who would live like that? If they had too I'd could understand, but damn. You could buy your child a bed. Sheesh. Talking about redoing the boys room and doing something "mattress free" Do her kids not deserve a bed? How about a nice set of bunk beds for the boys? The older on top, the younger on the bottom? Crazy.

You know, when you first posted pictures of your home and the whole "matress under the crib" controversy started, I thought that you were pulling the mattress out every night and really didn't see a bug deal. I didn't realize you were actually letting him sleep under there. Honestly - I don't think that's safe, Emily. There are so many things that could go wrong in that scenario - the crib collapsing on him, the trundle part coming down on him, et

Oh my god. What if the baby in the crib pulled that truck down onto his face? She makes the other child sleep under the crib? And the fact that the "redesign" of the kids would have them on camping pads... wow.

She can live frugally and keep a clean home, by the way...

WTH? My husband and I live on under 1000 dollars a month and we definitely DO NOT live like that. Her boys room looks like it is a laundry room and none of the walls look sturdy or safe and I would never hang shit like a trike and slide on the wall where my kids sleep and play.

I really can't believe she thinks her boys don't deserve beds.

There's a difference between being frugal and just being f**king cheap.
Swallow your damn pride and get assistance. It's what it's there for.

This makes me so sad.
Her 2 week food plan... those kids cannot be getting enough nutrition.
