I have a sore spot on my left breast, kind of under my arm pit. There's a slight bump compared to the other breast in the same spot. Not really hard, just kind of bumpy, if that makes sense.

When should I worry about it?

My best thing for breastfeeding was this developmental breastfeeding pillow http://lalina.lv/en/produkti/pakavins/

does it hurt? Any redness? Might be a lymph node...probably is a lymph node.

It's sore but there's no redness or swelling.

Most likely a lymph node. They're all over the body.

Is it anything to worry about right now? Or like, at what point should I see a doctor for it?

It seems to have corrected itself. I'm not sore and there's no bump anymore. Woot.

uh oh, burning nipples usually means thrush :( You may want to get cream for it and keep an eye on your LO's mouth to make sure he doesn't develop it.

I've had this a few times. usually goes away after a few days / weeks. not sure what it is from.

Quoting [Boats&Hoes]:" It first started before his 2 month appt and I asked the pedi, but she said she didn't see anything. ... [snip!] ... had the same white spot for a few months now. He even had it when the Dr checked him. Should I go and get my nipples checked?"

hmm well there are some white spots that can appear in a baby's mouth that are harmless, like Epstein's pearls or Bohn's Nodules.. Usually thrush will be on the tongue and/or the inside of the lips, and once they get it, it usually spreads. But your LO may be one of the lucky ones not susceptible to thrush. If you're still burning and uncomfortable I would get checked just to be safe and give you some peace of mind... and if it is thrush you should get some nyastin cream hopefully.

Some of the time though the burning or hurting can just be from an improper latch. Are you cracked and dry at all? Or just red, itchy or inflamed? What does your let down feel like?

sometimes too you can get them on right but then they squirm around and pull and squeeze the b**b which can create a bad latch. Has he started to get more alert on the breast? That could be a factor too. Or just the way you are holding them can affect it too. Like if they are not laying right up against you and are sort of just lazing on you, it can start to hurt after awhile.
