One year today for my third!!! Still nursing quite a bit but I've gone back to work so I've introduced homo milk and almond milk for when I'm away (plus water). He's a big food eater thankfully because he just chews on and takes little sips of his drinks.

Within the week next I will start with my second little breastfeed baby boy !! I went 16 months with my first (wanted to go to 2 years but it was hurting soo much pregnant) and really hoping I can go just as long or longer with this baby. However, I am actively looking for a job since I just finished my masters so I donno how that will play. Any advice from mama who EBF while working other then the obvious pumping a crap load lol

Definitely handsfree bra.. I got the simple wishes. So much more easier bc I can continue working while I pump with minimal interruption. I have a desk job. I also wash my stuff off when I get up to go to the kitchen for something else already. I dont make special trip as I tried to make pumping as convenient as possible.

WE ARE 8MONTHS BF today. Not a drop of formula. And solids started 2times a day at abt 6.5 months. About 2-4oz solids a day. LO loves water. He likes to drink straight from water bottle..imitating me. Has been for a couple months.

I have not been maintaining my 3hr pumping or feeding schedule. when I miss it though, it's not a consistent time that I'm missing. Sometimes at church I get too busy or sometimes at night LO will sleep longer or I'm just so tired I let DH give him a pumped bottle. Also, AF returned 8-15 thru 8/19..

I know this can affect my supply, but if it's inconsistent will it? I can get back on track after back to school chaos is over.. but it's sooo hard to pump or feed LO bc I have been bringing pumped bottles to mall or whereever so the older kids can feed LO in the car as we are on the go.

If I get back on track next week and maintain it, will my supply recover or am i doomed forever. LO was 8months yesterday.. never a drop of formula.. solids <4oz a day..

So I have read several times that breastfeeding Burns up to 500 calories a day. Does nursing twins or tandem nursing have any affect on that number?

I think it's double or close to it.

I will be having my baby on 10/1 or 10/8 and I have missed out on the bf classes the hospitals offer around here. This is really helpful. Thanks!! :D

Quoting PrettyBird:" How do I get Lucia to stop biting me! She has a tooth now so it hurts like hell. She is 81/2 months old. ... [snip!] ... On a brighter note... I quit my job, am now a SAHM and Lucia drinks 0 formula now! Got my supply way up there!:D:D:D wooo hooo!"

I'll take him off, and put it away for about 5 minutes. Most of that time he'll be crying and trying to pull my shirt down, but I tell him that's what happens when he bites. I don't put him back on until he lets me comfort him and calm him down a little bit. I still get bit from time to time, but it's not every single nursing session like he used to.
