I posted this in free for all and have yet to get any responses. I know some navy wives have to have something!

I was wondering if any of you navy wives in here have ever gotten a tattoo dedicated to being a navy wife or to your sailor or anything like that? If so would you mind showing me yours?

I have a really pretty idea for one, I want to describe it but I'm a little skeptical about doing that because I like my tattoo ideas to be original for the most part and I wouldn't want anyone to steal my idea haha. Maybe I will I just need to think about it.

But if any of you have ever gotten anything I would love to see.. just to see what other people have done to dedicate to their sailors.

Yea, I wouldn't do that.

Marraiges end.

Why not get something that shows your dedication to yourself?

I have a wonderful anchor on my foot.

Not because the hubs is a sailor, but because the Navy brought me across the ocean and I did a lot of growing up in this country. Sailors get anchors on their first crossing of the Atlantic. So I got mine.

My grandfather also had almost the exact same anchor on his arm. It is a dedication to him as well. I was named after him, so I liked this idea.

It wasn't just for Trevor. It had multiple meanings. That was why I got it.

There was a navy wife on LA ink who got a tattoo of her silhouette looking out to the ocean and a navy ship coming in. Like waiting for her husband to come home. Let me see if I can find a pic.

There is a lot of stuff you can do like an anchor or something, you don't have to get navy wife written if you fear divorce.

But even if you do tattoos are to tell a story, to represent something. It would represent a piece of the puzzle that is and was your life. Just bc you are divorced doesn't mean it didn't happen. It doesnt mean you did learn from, grown during, and in most cases really enjoy at some point. Helped make you who you are, ya know?

I kinda want an army wife (but not written army wife) one but DH says its stupid and has a bunch of other (stupid) ideas of what he thinks would look better lol.
