Everything I read says at my LO's age she should make more sounds then she is.. She's vocal she yells a lot! But she doesn't really babble.. I'm worried she'll be 7 months in two weeks... Should I be worried?

My daughter did the same thin until she was about 7 1/2 months. Then one day she just started babbling lol and now its like she doesnt wanna stop talking. I think its perfectly normal.

No....I wouldn't worry yet. As long as she's making some noises, I would say she's fine. Do you baby babble at her? LO is 7 months this weekend and been doing it more than ever this past week or two! He did it a little here and there...but a ton now! And if I start babbling at him...he does it back.

Really? At his 15 month checkup they asked if he says at least 3 words. I said no, he says momma and sometime nana but I don't think he really means to say nana. He know sign language (some) but only points at stuff and say "uh or ah". Did your son do that? My pedi said as long as he's babling but he doesn't really bable he just will sometime walk around and say like "babababab" or something like that.

<blockquote><b>Quoting Wyatt, Bristol and Camden:</b>" My son even now will go around just "babbling" ba ba ba ba... But it's just noise as everyone has called ... [snip!] ... been able to get into a program thru Child Development Services and they pay for everything that our Insurance doesn't cover. "</blockquote>

I think each baby develops at different rates. Some babies talk soon. Some walk soon. Mine is a family of 9 month walkers however my brother didn't speak for quite a while then all of a sudden he did. No speech theraphy. I think too much pressure is put on parents as when our babies should be doing what and it makes us so paranoid that we forget to enjoy the things our babies are doing. Like blowing kisses at mommy. Just enjoy your baby and talk to him/her and trust me when he/she starts talking they will make up for time lost.
