Circumcision done wrong? sandra marie! Due March 15; 1 child; Oregon 912 posts

My 6 month old son got circumcised (Gomco method) when he was born.
It still looks messed up, i think they left too much skin on the shaft with more extra skin underneath and it looks like some of that skin may have reattached itself a little to the head (closest end to the shaft).

Did this happen to any of your baby boys?
If so, did you get them re-circumcised and did they HAVE to get put under anesthesia?

I've read that they leave a little skin for them to grow in to, but this looks like alot.

that happens when you dont pull the skin down every time you change their diaper.

I would just take him to the DR and have them take a peek and give you the options. My sons was done great so i cant really give you any more info on it.. but I know my nephew was not circumsized and ended up needing it for emergency when he was 1.5 years old and WAS put under for the procedure.

It's surprisingly common how often such things happen with circumcision.

Ironic, isn't it? That the p***s is circumcised as it's supposed to be easier to take care of.

Mama, put him in the tub and let it get 'softer' from being immersed in water. Gradually, you might be able to work it back. If not, I'd put a call into the doc. Good luck!
