My older daughter just turned 20 months old, and she woke up this morning cross-eyed.
I swear to God. Not all the time, just often enough that it clearly isn't a fluke. Daycare noticed it too.
My family and DDH's family both have a strong history of vision problems. My younger sister had to wear an eye patch for a little over a year in her youth.
Clearly I'm going to call an eye doctor in the morning, but has anyone ever seen this? I have never heard of this happening suddenly. Just always being there or gradually showing up.
Has she hit her head?
Quoting Mayor Bee:
My daughter's eyes started crossing at around age 3. She's worn glasses ever since.
my daughters eyes started to cross when she was about 3 months. Shes been wearing glasses ever since.
The only thing i've ever read about is a head injury causing eye issues like that, i hope it's nothing serious or permanent!!
I had noticed Cicely crossing one eye in for a while, but I finally took her in. She just started wearing glasses for being farsighted. Looks like you need to book an eye exam. :D
