shanna yes it is. I hate that ppl judge us bcuz we arent the "skinny" pregnant girls. A child is a child no matter the size of its carrier. ppl are so0o evil sometimes.

Hi ladies! I am about to turn 30 this month (Dec 2012) and am finally expecting our first baby to make it past 8-12 weeks after 5 years of trying. I to had started losing weight before concieving our miracle, but it was due to meds for migraines I was losing not because I was eating healthy or exercising unfortunately. My prepregnancy weight was 235 and had actually lost around 5 pounds when I was 18 weeks due to being seriously ill and hospitalized. today at my check up due to pre term labor and round ligament pains plus my diabetes screening (failed 1 hour test go next week for the 3 hour test) I found I gained 6 pounds since prepregnancy weight putting me at 262 now. I feel everyone's pain on looking fat and not pregnant around all these tiny women I didn't start showing until about 3-4 weeks ago. My little boy is actually tracking 4 days larger in size so I am worried he will be a large baby like his daddy was (born at 10#9oz). My doctor is very pleased with my maintance on weight and realizes that the recent weight gain is due to being on moderate bed rest the past 3weeks and not being able to do much. Still trying to eat healthier but with the hubby doing the cooking lately its not very easy he has a thing for deep fried food, bacon and eggs all the greesy stuff :-\ I am eagerly awaiting my March 16 due date.
Congrats and best wishes to all my fellow plus size mommies. And for those wondering about the daddy feeling the baby if u know any tricks let me know please. My hubby has been trying to feel the kicks that even move the blankets but as soon as he touches my belly little AJ stops all movement till he lifts his hand. I tease him that he is the baby Whisperer and will probably be the one to get him to sleep lmao.
Sorry this was so long just excited to finally find a forum for plus size mamas :-)

So glad I'm not the only one I weigh 230lbs I'm only 5'2 and this is my first pregnancy and it was unexpected yet very pleasant. I'm just so scared I'll lose the baby because of my weight. Since I found out I'm pregnant, I've been trying to lead a healthier lifestyle. Drinking juice and milk daily, more fruits and veggies for snacks. I try to walk everyday. Is anyone else early in their pregnancy that needs a motivation buddy?? I'm so down!!

i am due around the same time as you, august 19th but i have no motivation lolsz im soooo tired nd exhausted you'd think since this is my 3rd pregnancy i'd have the hang of this but this one by far is the most exhausting one of all 3. im just hoping with this one i can eat healthy bcuz my last child would not let me eat healthy or food for that matter i was always sooo sick.

I am 33 weeks pregnant with my first and my weight has my emotions even worse than pregnacy alone. I weighed 235 when I got pregnant but last time I weighed in I was 279! I am on bed rest now for pregnancy induced hypertention, they expect preclampsia to be soon because of the protein in the urine tests but all I can think about, other than how absolutly bored I am, is how much more weight Ill gain with out moving around. Has anyone found any good diets that you can do while breastfeeding that can help me get to feeling better with out restricting nutrients to the baby?

I just found this thread:) I'm preg with my 5th baby and this is the first time I've been overweight while pregnant. I started out at 224 and after getting through my first trimester i lost 7 lbs. I am now 24 weeks and have gained about 3-4 back. I have most of my extra weight in my belly so it really sucks having all this fat over the baby, its frustrating me how much harder it is to feel movement from the outside especially when my kids want to feel. I hope i don't gain much more. All my other pregnancys i gained about 20 i just hope i lose a lot when i breastfeed!

I just found out I am prego with my 2nd. My LO is 10 months, and I am probably about 6 weeks prego. I am not sure yet since i just found out I havent had a check up yet. 3 weeks before i missed my period i started to take pills to lose weight. I stopped taking them because they were makin me shaky and i could feel my heart beat stronger than ever. I am 5'5 and 298 lbs. At this point I hate myself more than ever, I have never felt more digusted about my body, and just to think that i am prego again and will gain more weigh its very depressing. I know that sounds selfish but I just wish i didnt feel like this. This is the biggest ive ever been and i blame myself for lettin myself go after my last pregnancy. I needed to vent *SIGH*
