I was told to go to the hospital when my contractions are 3-5 minutes apart. Well what does that mean other than me being in active labor?

How long did your 3-5 minutes apart contractions last?

I was under the impressions that contractions like that are considered active labor! I could be wrong though! Call your L&D and see what they say!

I had contractions that were 3 minutes apart but I was told to wait a while since I wasn't dialated enough. I went anyways though.

I was having contractions 2-3 minutes apart for about 15-20 minutes, then BAM!, there he was.

It normally means active labor so it's worth going in for. Sometimes though if you aren't progressing they will send you home for a bit.

I was contracting every few minutes for about 6 weeks, every 1-2 minutes for 4 days and right on top of each other after my water broke for 11 hours

I think if you are past 37 weeks and you have contractions that far apart you need to go to the hospital and you are in labor, if you are under 37 weeks and you have more then 4 an hour you go in.....

My contractions were two mins apart my WHOLE labour, first contraction to last. And some piggy back contractions.

I'm not really sure. They kind of went from 5 or so minutes to 2 and then stayed at 2 minutes until I delivered, which was 3 hours.

So these were "stop you in your tracks" labor? Real intense active labor and it took this long before the baby came?

I am not in labor...
