Pain in legs after birth ......................... 1 child; Spokane, Washington 3403 posts

I had my daughter 2 days ago, and just today I noticed a weird pain in my left leg in my calf and knee. sometimes it's a sharp pain and sometimes it just feels sore.
I don't know if it has something to do with my epidural...is this normal?
I am scared of blood clots.

I'd be worried about a blood clot too. But, you could have just pulled the muscle during labor.

If you have a spot on your leg that is hot to the touch and sore that could be a sign of a blood clot. Did you have a c section or natural birth?

Since your knee hurts as well that is a good sign. You don't get clots in your knee! You could have just pulled something

I have pain in my left leg and have for 5 years. They hit a nerve when they gave me the epi. However if you think its a BC I would go have it checked. I get freaked out just thinking about getting a BC cuz my friend had one that went from her leg to her lung and almost killed her when her baby was 2 weeks old.

Where in your calf as well. I have a genetic blood clotting disorder...so does my bro and dad. (dad died from a clot in his lungs and bro had a clot in his lungs but survived) I got tested during both pregnancies.

I had my daughter last Monday via c-section and was home Wednesday and noticed a pain in my left leg to the side of my knee where it kinda felt like someone was inside my knee pushing out. It also burned when I'd press on it but had no physical mark on the outside. I'm scared of blood clots too and was gonna call but the pain subsided so I thought I'd wait til I see my doc on Tuesday but now this post has me all re-worried :?

The pain is from the middle of my calf to my ankle area.
it's a dull pain, like a stretching pain and sometimes it's sharp. I am waiting for my doctor to call me back.
