Just wondering if anyone else has experienced the rash (or possible reaction) I am experiencing while pregnant.
It started off just between my fingers & toes and did not itch until I started to touch them. I got paranoid that it could be scabies, so I found a dermatologist to consult after my next OBGYN appt. in a few days.
I have had it for 4 days now, and it is impossible to see the little bumps I have unless you look very closely. My mom thinks its just sweat blisters and my boyfriend thinks its an allergic reaction, but now that I can see these bumps on the backs of my hands and feet, I disagree. They get irritated and itch more when I wash my hands or scratch. They behave and feel like I have a lot of mosquito bites. If I forget about them, they do not bother me.
Is this something I should be worried about given I am due in a couple weeks? Would they let me not hold my son if its contagious? Just looking for answers while I wait.
Ugh I got those so bad in my first trimester with BOTH babies :(
Apparently its just a hormonal rash.
I actually had that happen while on anti-boitics my ob couldn't come up with a reason why but just told me to take bennadryl and it did go away
I broke out in an itchy rash while I was pregnant on my hands..it is normal to get rashes while you are prego of course I definetly got mine checked out too, but I wouldn't stress too much they are common and usually occur in the same places that swell for other women eg..hands feet and face.

Scabbies also usually spreads and won't just stay on your hands or feet
Just an update:
Showed my OBGYN the rash today, and because its only on my hands and feet and not on my belly too, she ordered some blood work to see if its related to an increase of liver enzymes.
Her other hypotheses were heat rash or POPPS.
I could take over the counter Benadryl if I want but we'll see. I'm about to start using Hydrocortisone (1%) to ease the itchiness. Blood work will be analyzed in one week, July 30th. Hopefully that'll give some answers.
Ok, final update on this rash business! The blood results for high liver and/or bile enzymes came back negative. The rash seems to be going away now, and I no longer use the Hydrocortisone (1%) because it only provided temporary relief, and I guess it also contains steroids. Best to stay away from that. I don't really feel it anymore unless I'm washing my hands under warm water. Strech marks are so much more itchy than this now!
