Indoor places to take a toddler Mama MacGyver* 1 child; Tulsa, Oklahoma 12190 posts

I need to focus on spending more one-on-one time with Kieran. He's starting to act out any time someone comes to our house like a friend or even another family member. He is in daycare all day because i work and go to school, so I want to make the afternoons/evenings and weekends really fun for him. Where are some places I can take him? We like to go to the pet shop and let him look at and play with the puppies and kitties... but obviously we can only go hang out at the pet shop so many times w/ out buying something lol

Any suggestions??

We go to bookstores a lot, they usually have a little play area for the toddlers. We go once or twice a week, it's fun for both of us.

We have this great little place nearby called Pump It Up, they basically have rooms with jumpers and inflatable slides and other toys they bring out for the kids. Tuesday nights they have a family jump special so we have done that a few times and I love it because unlike places like chuckee Cheese, it is more quiet, more supervised as they have parents and staff members, and no one getting too rowdy.

We go to the children's museum, the aquarium, or this little play house thing, where they have different rooms, such as a dress up room, lego room, etc. It's loads of fun.

Our mall has a kids play area with lots of climbing toys. probably lots of GERMS too, but we just wash up real good when we get home.

We also go sometimes with a few dollars and get an ice cream and ride the little kiddie rides that are in the mall.

An aquarium if you have one near you. The library (assuming one is open late enough) to read him books, If you have a pottery place that lets you make your own that could be fun for him to paint his own plate, a childrens museum.

All of this depending on age too.

Or outside, you could go to the park, take a walk by a river or creek, go for a swim, get a baby pool set it up in your yard and let him have at it. etc..

I look for specials around the city, Tuesdays this one ice cream place has cones for a dollar so we do that too. Also we just went to the aquarium sunday and they had a special that if you go after 5pm it's only 11.95 versus being 30 dollars, just look for spcials!

The library-ours has a kids area
Target- I know, it's probably more for me but Bump enjoys looking at the the toys and stuff
Anywhere that has a gameroom our Dairy Queen here has a little one so we get a small ice cream and then she plays a few games
