I guess I should mention that his orders got all effed up. They had him single with no dependents even though we got married before he even joined the military and he was getting paid for having dependents. So when we moved I wasn;t on his orders and the base he left had to change them. He had to get hi shirt involved to do it though because they kept giving him the run around.

i TMOd from NJ to CA . and we did our own TMO move. like we got the money from dispursing and rented a moving truck and moved our selves. it took us about 4 days. once we got to CA you get like 10 days leave to settle into a home. plus we eneded up getting a pretty decent chunk of change extra.

the only thing with a TMO move...they crate up your motorcycle and its weight counts towards your household goods...just watch out for what your weight limit is if you have a lot of furniture. And...they will only TMO one car for you! good luck! ours was easy. they take everything apart and they pack it with their supplies. and, since they take it all apart, they HAVE to put it all back together at your new house!

It says 8,000 pounds.... Our bike only weighs like 600 lbs with a full tank. I really doubt all our stuff weighs anywhere near 8,000 lbs.

i DO NOT recommend TMO. they broke ALL of our living room furniture when storing it/delivering it that was brand new, couches, end tables, and coffee table. and on top of that they didn't give us our sheet of everything we had when moving our stuff in. so we are basically screwed.

we were moving from NC to SC and we were on leave for 2 weeks but we got our stuff 3 days after moving in that they put in storage.
