Has anyone worked either of these businesses? If so, did you like it? Did you make decent money? Can you do network marketing instead of home parties? Just wondering...

I sell it (Scentsy) with my sister. We do both. She makes decent money and I get free product from her. We both love it.

Scentsy! It is amazing and not dangerous around children! I sell it. I love it. It is hard to just market on the web IMO. It can be done though.

I do not sell either but strictly from a consumer opinion I think Scentsy would be better, customers usually seek out the reps for that company...and on another note, I've never heard of Gold Canyon Candle Co. so that could be a hurdle getting the word out and finding customers who want to try it. I know Scentsy sells itself most of the time.

I sell Scentsy and love it! It basically sells itself. I just moved up a level and it hasn't even been my 70 days yet!

I sell GC an you can make from 25-30% commission depending on your monthly sales so you can give yourself a raise depending on your monthly sales with SS you make 20% or 25% and when you recruit with both companies you increase you commission even more with your team sales. I have tried both products and thought long and hard about both companies before joining. I am not going to talk badly about either company I will only tell you the differences between the two. The quarterly minimum for SS is much less it's only $150 with GC its $450 both very achievable by doing at least 1 party a month. With GC you have the option of purchasing 2 kits 1 costs $99 the other cost $150 and they split them in 3 payments BUT you can EARN both kits for FREE! Both companies offer a 90days of having your website with them for free. Both companies have products that are environmentally friendly and kid safe meaning it's cool wax. Both sell warmers except SS has more variety of warmers they have a light bulb, and they sell wax bars that melt and you can't switch the scent easily you have to wait till the wax completely evaporates or you have to freeze and pop the wax or wipe it out. With GC their warmers come with a patent with a timer which you can set for 4,8,12 hours the wax is contained in a pod so you can easily switch a scent without having to deal with the wax and the scents last much longer they also don't have a lightbulb, they also have an adapter that you can put on the warmer if you want to burn oils. Both companies carry auto freshners, room sprays, and hand foam. You can do fundraisers with both companies but organizations make 25% with SS and with GC they make 35-40% SS carries plug ins and travel tins. GC has much more variety they carry candles, all natural home cleaning products that are just fantastic and non toxic (my kids love to help me clean and they smell great no harsh chemicals), they also carry linen sprays, oil burners, body products, candle holders, diffusers, and much more. What made me fall in love with GC was their charity of choice that the company founded it's called The Prayer Child Foundation http://www.prayerchild.org/index.html and part of the proceeds of our candles go to this organization and 100% of the proceeds of our Candles for Kids goes to this organization which has helped thousands of children in need. This Foundation is very near and dear to my heart and has helped many children I personally know and have come to know through an illness or need and it's a great feeling to know I was able to help a child in some way. I know SS had a breast cancer warmer and now they have a autism warmer and GC also had a breast cancer candle. In the end I recommend trying both companies products researching their plans and making the right decision for yourself.
