I see so many posts on here by women who are more than likely victims of domestic abuse, and they don't even realize it:( Domestic violence is so much more than just getting the sh*t beat out of you.

If you are with your SO because you feel like you have no other option, are worried about dealing with custody issues, feel financially unable to provide for yourself and child(ren) without him, etc that is domestic violence.

Domestic violence includes physical, emotional, and verbal abuse!

Here are SOME questions used to detect domestic violence...Please ask yourself the following questions & reach out for help!

I agree with most of that

If a person feels she cant do better that is not abuse on the spouses part unless they are drilling that into their head.

My SO doesn't do any of those things.

But I am glad you posted this for all the other women on here, it's a bug eye opener.

Being with a man because it's easier doesn't make it domestic abuse. :? Perhaps you should fix that part.

My SO would never do any of those things, but I was in an abusive relationship previously and when I was with him I could have answered yes to every single one of those questions. This is a great post.

i read this online once...very true..and i def can relate to it, i can answer yes to nearly all of those..but when you actually are stuck with someone, (not just feeling that way), its a whole diff story. some people think its so easy to leave someone bc they arent in their situation and dont fully understand when they believe they do..thankfully hes not physical anymore, just emotional/mentally abusive..but i just ignore him now..pisses him off even more :)
