We had bed bugs in our last apartment two years ago. They were AWFUL, they stressed me out so bad, too. My smart husband was at his dad's, helping him take furniture out due to bed bugs and just came home with the same clothes. Awesome.

We had an exterminator come in and I stayed with my grandma for a week. I would contact the military if it was their furniture.

I am in the military also and was watching AFN yesturday when a story came on about how there are barracks that are infested with bed bugs. I don't remember which base it was but they were reporting that all the barracks were getting sprayed and the soldiers were getting new furniture. Contact your husbands commanding officer and make him aware. They can report it and someone in the chain of command might be able to arrange somthing. Defenitely report it though.

Back in March my husband helped a neighbor move a piece of furniture someone else was tossing out. (We think twice about that now). Anyway, here we sit months later and just got treated for bedbugs! Our 7 yr old daughter looked like she had the chicken pox over a week ago. We were displaced for 2 nights (myself and 4 small children) and housing said it wasn't their problem. Basically telling us to sleep on the street and there wasn't anything they were going to do. This has been a NIGHTMARE for me and my children!! It seems they are gone (although I found a partial live/dead one yesterday. It is dead now but I can't sleep in my own home anymore after what has happened.
