my nuvaring fell in the toilet! Haylee'sMommy! [: 17 kids; Kentucky 4216 posts

In the process of peeing, my nuvaring fell out into the toilet. I got it out (gross I know lol) and dried it off... should I put it back in or get a new one or what? It hasn't been 3 hours yet so there would still be time if I need to put it back in. I'm just kinda worried since it was in my pee.

And I didn't really know where to put this question, therefore it ended up here lol.

I wouldn't put it back in. Pee is supposed to be sterile and all that but something tells me it just wouldn't be a good idea...

Mine has fallen in the toilet before too lol. There's nothing wrong with putting it back in. My dr. told me it was ok, just to rinse it with warm water, as you would if you took it off during sex.

Yea that's what I was thinking.. It just seems gross. My pee might not have been the only pee in the toilet, Idk.
I wish I could find a birth control that worked well with me! lol

Pee is sterile...however your toilet bowl is not. Icky. I'd say new one.

I would put a new one in..Just because the idea grosses me out, even if it is 'ok' to do.
