Bruises - when to be concerned? Vindictive 50 kids; Switzerland 30558 posts

DD gets little bruises all the time. They are round, dark purple, and are no bigger then a dime.
She will get them on her shins (which I assume is from knocking things), but lately she has been getting them on the back of her legs, thighs, belly, hips, and there has been one on the inside of her arm. They are all the same shape and size. But she never has more then one or two at a time.

When are bruises something to be concerned about? She doesn't act weird, but she is a little tomboy and likes to climb everything, everywhere, all the time.

whenever you think its not "normal"
never wrong for being cautious and having her pedi look at her.

I am no expert but I would think if they are going away she is prolly fine...if they won't go away then that is bad!

unless it looks like it could be from a hit, or it looks like someone grabbed her, i wouldn't be concerned.

Kids are kids, and they're going to get bruises, you're not going to be able to stop that unless you put them in a giant hamster ball.

ETA: Evan had a bruise on his butt, how it happened? No clue, probably from falling on something.

My oldest is a huge klutz and always has some bruise or scrape.
But as long as you're positive they aren't from someone grabbing her she should be ok

I'm not concerned about it being from hits, she's with me nearly 24/7.

What concerns me is the fact that they all look exactly alike. They're all small, perfectly round, and dark purple.. then disappear within two or three days.

Maybe I'm just being paranoid. I will probably have her pedi check her out..
