TTC after mirena removal bryleighandbrooklynnsmama Due September 11; 2 kids; Kansas City, Missouri 529 posts

Hello ladies!

I had my mirena IUD removed today. Hubby and I are so excited to start TTC again around January. I was wondering who here has gotten pregnant closely after the mirena removal..

Also, what gender is your child that was born after that? I heard most babies born immediately following the mirena removal are girls. We are hoping for a boy so we are going to wait until January.

Also, how long did it take for your cycles and ovulation to get regular?

Thanks for any help!!

I don't know personally but I know my aunt was ttc for 2 years after getting the mirena removed and she's now about 2 months along. Good luck!

I conceived less than a month after removal so watch out for that haha.

That's funny I've never heard about the gender thing but I did just have a girl right off mirena.

never on mirena but my brothers girlfriend got pregnant right after it came out and thats the kind of stories I hear. Most women are getting pregnant with in weeks to just a couple months if all is normal with the mother/father

my brother had a little boy

Thank you all for the replies! We are going to do some gender swaying.. pH testing and making sure that we have sex on O day in hopes of giving it our best effort to concieving a son.

BUT- if we have a third girl, then i will still be thrilled.

:)

I had mine out in mid-August. I became regular right away. We are about to hit our 4th cycle soon. We didn't hit the 1st two cycles the "right" way but we did last cycle. i picked up some OPKs, so hopefully this coming cycle we will get everything "right" & have a BFP soon thereafter. crossing my fingers & g/l to you!!!

oh how i would love to have the self discipline to wait to find out in the delivery room. I would love to have that moment. BUT- I know myself and i really dont think I can do it... Especially since if it is a girl i think my husband would be even more kinda down about it in the delivery room... I am going to try though to not find out.. You can be my encourager throughout the pregnancy!
