I was just wondering about babys born around 33 weeks. I know in my family for whatever reason they all seem to have preemie babies. I was a preemie but I was big for a preemie & so were my bros & sis. I had one sister go full term & she only weighed 4lbs. So what would happen if i had a baby at around 33, 34 , 35, 36 weeks. How much would they weigh & how many inches & how long would they be in the NICU. i would like to hear YOUR stories! Just wanting to compare. thank you.

It honestly varies baby to baby at that point! My daughter was born at 36 wks....only issue we had was common with all baby (Jaundice) and she weight 6lbs 9oz! She was going to be huge if I made it to 40 wks! lol

usually babies who are born premature stay in the NICU till there actual due dates. but sometimes premie babies do fine and only stay a couple weeks. every baby is different, but i'd say they'd probably weigh under 5 pounds. i mean my baby was small but she wasn't a premie so i can't really say. are you scared your baby will be a premie?

it depends on the baby. But my daughter was born at 34 weeks. 4lbs 11 oz's. She was in the NICU for 2.5 weeks. She had some issues breathing but our major issue was eating.

im sure state to state and city to city is different...in fl where i had my son he did not stay til his due date neither did any of the other babies except the 28wkr.

my son was born at 33 w and weighed 5 lbs 1.3 oz & 17 1/4 inches long, he stayed for 16 days and had jaundice, a feeding tube & that was it.

Are most preemies born natural or with c-sections. I know I was natural but idk about other babies.

yep definetaly a case by case basis..all the mothers in the nicu delivered by c-section except me. one had twins so hers was c section, another had gestational diabetes, another had an infection, one didnt say why hers was early just that she never had a prenatal appt and thought her baby was full term at 3 lbs .. and i didnt talk to the others so im not sure.
