Oxy Elite Pro vs. Phentermine. Boog's Mommy 1 child; Florida 3300 posts

Ok I was thinking about going to a WL clinic and getting on some Phentermine. I'm not sure how much it is going to cost. I've heard that Oxy Elite Pro is a good WL pill you can take and get results. GNC has a money back guarantee.

I'm 5'4 and about 170 lbs. I'd like to get down to 140.

Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do? Or if you have experience on either of them please share! Thanks!

If you don't mind me asking, why not just do diet & exercise? My mom got really addicted to phentermine, it wasn't good, at all. My dad has just ate extremely healthy and worked out his whole life and at 50 he is in better shape than most 20 year olds.

I wouldn't take something that has a trade brand name "Kraftobese"

I lost weight by pushing away the fork and desserts and stop drinking soda, and working out more.

Because I've been trying to lose the weight for the last 7 months and nothing wants to come off.

Sorry that you've been blasted by people for wanting to try a pill. Before my second child, I worked out 4 days a week with my husband (who has been a personal trainer for 13 years). I still eat salad with no dressing, no mayo on sandwiches, no ketchup, etc. I eat a lot of fruit, veggies, lean meats; I cook with olive oil only and very little of it. I CANNOT lose the 20lbs left on me after having Zoey. I tried the WL clinic and phentermine. Made me jittery, but made me less hungry and I lost 6lbs in a month. BUT didn't want to pay the $135 for the refill. So I went to GNC and got the Oxy Elite Pro - to sub for the Farenheit I used to take to burn fat (they don't carry it anymore). It works EXACTLY like phentermine and I'm losing weight at the same pace, just with a cheaper tab. Try the GNC first. If you can't take it, you certainly shouldn't take phentermine. And of course the 30-day money back thing is awesome.

Wondering if you wound up trying Oxy Elite and if it worked?

Just to add my two sense in, I took OEP for the recommended 4 weeks and lost 25 lbs and never started another round after the 4 week "off" period because in the first 4 weeks I changed my entire lifestyle and it just gave me that extra "boost." I started working out, eating HEALTHY, and put myself on a strict 1300 calorie diet and with all of that I have lost all 65 lbs that I gained during my pregnancy. Granted I'm 14, almost 15 months PP but still I was able to lose it all. I think it helped to curb my appetite well enough that eating only 1300 calories didn't feel like I was starving to death. I have always been a fairly slim girl (5'6 and about 128 ) and am now 136 which is what I was at my first doc appt at about 5 weeks. I have no experience with Phentermine but I will vouch for OEP.

I say go for at least trying the OEP but I'll tell you now that it does suppress your appetite quite a bit so you have to remember to MAKE yourself eat and drink a ton of water or it won't work.

Good luck!

I've used them both. They're good if you need a push in the right direction. I had the hardest time getting motivated. The Adipex/Phentermine is stronger then the Oxy Elite Pro. I started on Adipex and lost 40 pounds over two years. I didn't take the pill every day. I did two months on two months off. If you're a snacker like me then you would want to replace the chips with fruit. I played psychological tricks on myself. I love McDonald's. I'd tell myself to just drive to the next one and by then I've fought the craving. Exercising is important. Try 3 times a week in 30 minute increments to get started. Good Luck!

I've used them both, and had serious palpitations and blood pressure issues with both. I am using myfitnesspal and since March have lost another 21 lbs. Eating right and exercising. The pills will only work for so long-- you cannot stay on them longterm.

I've OEP before I had any kids and I lost about 10lbs which is very good because I had very little body fat.. I loved it..although it did give me slight insomnia .. A set of twins and a singleton later I am going to order it again and try to lose the few pounds I still have to go to get back to pp.
