An infection or kidney stones. Does it hurt when he/she pees?

My little brother had a kidney stone as early as age 3 or something ridiculous.. he has had more than one (he is 8)

Its my niece. She has an appointment tomorrow morning and it sounds like a UTI with the other symptoms she mentioned. SHe has had a few bladder problems so I am praying its nothing serious. THanks ladies.
