Just wondering if anyone ever tried it to help speed up labor... I'm almost 3 cm, and almost 38 weeks! Midwives swear by it, but I've never tried it...
Just wait. Let the baby come on his own.
It doesn't induce labor but it will soften the cervix so when it dilates, it will do it easier. I usually stall at 4-5, but this time around I did EPO and I easily dilated to a ten.
I used it, not sure if it worked but I was only in labor 6 hours.
thanks ladies!! Yeah. this is actually my 6th pregnancy... and when people say, let the baby come in it's own.. let me just say, my kids HAVE NEVER came on their own. LOL I stop dilating at about 3-4 also. I have been induced with every one of my kids, and never once has my water broke on it's own. lol i was almost a 10 with my daughter and they finally broke my water..cause it wasn't breaking... Thanks Again!!! I've asked my Doctor if it was alright to try it, and he said yes.. since im already full term.
I used it to help ripen my cervix, it doesn't out right start labor, and it worked great. I went into labor 6cm 90% effaced, then only 2.5 hours of active labor.
I used itt! 2 a day. Im not 100% sure if it will induce labor, but i was in labor for 6 hours, and didnt tear! I heard it helps so you dont tearr. :)
