Blood in Panties?! Age 3! The Tooth Fairy 2 kids; Vicenza, Italy 6756 posts

I just noticed my three year olds panties had a little bit of spotting on them when I took her potty before bed.

I layed her on the floor and inspected her vagina and while it's a little red, I'm not seeing anything abnormal.

I looked at her panties from earlier today (we had a late bath) and those too had a little bit of blood.

Should I take her to urgent care and get her looked at?

Maybe a UTI?? They're actually VERY common in little girls.

Definitely take her to the doctor. Did she say if it hurt or not?

I would call her pedi and see if they want you to take her in.
It could be an infection.

Is it possible that she strained really hard to go #2 today? Livy will sometimes get a trickle of blood after holding her BM for 3 days.

IMO~ if you can't pinpoint a cause you should take her to be seen.

Maybe a yeast infection, or if she explores herself, she could have scratched it. I would watch it, and if you see any blood tomorrow, take her to her pedi.

Don't know if I'd go to urgent care, but I'd make an appointment with the doctor for as soon as I could.

She might just be a little trooper.

I never knew my son had an ear infection until his ear drum ruptured and he was bleeding from his ear.
