I'm making a nice Italian dinner this weekend, I'm going all out but don't know what to do about dessert. I have no idea what flows with italian food.

So far I've had tiramisu suggested. I considered it, but the recipe is so confusing. So, basically, I just need to know what desserts flow with italian & I'll go and buy it. :D

Thanks!

Tiramisu is pretty simple, I made it once. Just buy the box kit, and it turns out pretty good :)
I LOVEEEEE tiramisu.

Crust:
1-1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup melted butter

Filling:
24 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 whole egg
2 egg yolks
1/2 cup milk
1 jar Nutella

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a bowl, combine the crust ingredients.
Press into the bottom of a 10-inch spring form pan.
Bake for 10 minutes. Set aside to cool.

In an electric mixer bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, flour, and vanilla until combined.
Add whole egg and yolks. Beat until smooth.
Add milk and Nutella and mix completely.
Pour filling into prepared pan.

Place spring form pan in a deep baking pan and place in oven.
Pour hot water into baking pan to halfway up the sides of the spring form pan.
Reduce oven temperature to 300 degrees F.
Bake for 1-1/2 hours or until center appears set when lightly shaken.
Remove from water bath and cool on wire rack.
Remove cake from pan and store in refrigerator before serving.

Olive garden will sell you pieces of tiramisu. My mom was so obsessed with it she bought a whole "pan" of it from them. Not sure how much it costs but its delicious! Or berries with cream puff pastries.... idk.
