On Monday I will be 36 weeks pregnant...which is when they are going to take the babies. Unless my blood pressure spikes up again, water breaks, etc.

If your baby/babies were born a month early did they spend any time in the NICU? When could you hold them? Did they come home with you?

TIA!

Pearl and adyn were over 7 lbs and they came home with me. But a single pregnancy which mine were is super diff than a twin pregnancy. But my babies required no special help.

Someone I know just had twins at 35 weeks about 2 weeks ago and the doctors are saying that they'll be able to go home this weekend. I know one had a little bit of a respiratory issue and the other wouldn't eat with a bottle...she said he was lazy and knew they would feed him through the tube.

They were both around 5.5 pounds too.

My 36 weeker didn't spend any extra time in the NICU but they did keep us both 48 hours to make sure there were no complications, I held him right away and he came home with me.

At this point since twins mature a bit faster you'd probably only run into issues with fluid in the lungs from a csection.

My 36 week son came home after 2 days, no time in NICU, just wanted to monitor us both for a little longer. My cousin's twins were born at 35 weeks and they spent about 2 hours getting checked out extra, but no time in there either! Don't worry! 36 weeks for twins is pretty good :)
