Baby on my pelvic bone!! ..Mommie.. 3 kids; North Carolina 644 posts

So I just got back from the Dr and when she went to measure my uterus...she felt all the way down to my "vagina bone" and couldnt feel it anymore so she stopped and said that he was down at my pelvic bone..and measured from my vagina bone to the bottom of my ribs...it kinda hurt when she was pushing down on my lower tummy..is that normal? and does the baby being on my pelvic bone mean that labor is soon?? not that I want it to be im only 37wk 2days just wondering what it means the dr was in a rush and just seemed to measure and rush out! Thanks Mamas! :)

My baby has been super low throughout the whole last trimester and he's still cooking. I can actually feel his head through my vaginal wall about 2 inches inside. Contractions and your water breaking are the only true signs of labor IMO. When I asked my dr about it, she said "he's not going to fall out without you having some major pain and contractions first" lol! .

Ha so every woman that waddles from their baby's being on the bone means they are going to go into labor......
If only that was true. Your hips an cervix need to do alot before that baby comes out. Dont rush around just yet because it still could be weeks of that yuckie pain still to come!

Could be a true sign of labor for you! I have given up on signs and symptoms...
Mucous plug has been gone since around 25 weeks...
Diarrhea for at least a week
3-4 cm dilated
80% effaced
Nesting for weeks
Contractions every day
I give up...only thing I believe for me is when I have contractions less than 5 minutes apart. Lol

Wow .....sounds like a long emotional pregnancy.
Nothing like a emotional toll of unexplainable labor signs an no labor. SUCKY!

Does suck! Lol
I had steroid shots at 33 weeks just because everything has been so crazy she wanted to err on the safe side. Cervix started shortening around 32-33 weeks...
I'm not in any hurry to get him out, but I can say I'm glad this is the last time I will be pregnant!

Yes, totally agree! People keep saying...don't rush it! But I have yet to see a baby born early just because the mommy was anxious or sick of being pregnant! If that was the case, I've been sick of being pregnant since July! Lol

How sweet! How lucky are we! We both have daughters already, and little men on the way! My daughter just pokes my belly button. I think she expects it to do something....like the buttons on her toys! Lol
