Keeping the bites clean, using an ice pack to reduce swelling, and applying some hydrocortizone cream will all help. I'd definitely suggest treating your home again, ASAP. Fleas can carry disease. While it's rare, you don't want to be that one case.

I had this happen when I brought the cats I used to have home from the vet. They had picked up fleas there. My roomie and I just kept flea-bombing our apartment until they were finally gone. Unfortunately they lay eggs in all kinds of crazy places and even though a bomb can kill the adults, the eggs will often hatch after the fact and you're back to where you started.

It really sucks because you feel like your home is really gross and you don't want people over =/ Good luck.

Ick, I went threw this a few months ago. I hated it.

The flea bites themselves aren't dangerous, but can cause discomfort.

BUT fleas are host to tapeworm larvae. So your child can get tape worm is they swallow a flea (which tape worm is easily treatable)

Vacuum like crazy, flea bomb again. We had to bomb THREE times.

OP, also be sure to open every drawer and cabinet as well as flip over every couch/chair cushion. When you're done bombing, take off every cushion cover as well as anything like bedding, bath carpets, etc. and wash them in hot, hot water. This should help remove any eggs the bombs miss.

Flea bites can be dangerous cause if not treated they can set up infection!
