If your LO wasn't talking much before they got tubes in their ears, how long did it take, after they got the tubes, for their speech to improve?

Zoe doesn't talk much, and they figure it's because her hearing was so muffled from the constant fluid build up in her ears. She got tubes yesterday evening and I am anxious for her to start talking!

My 9 month old son was supposed to get tubes put in his ears, but the fluid that was in his ears drained on its own and he can hear really well now. Now he is a lot more vocal and says mama and dada.

Anyway, my cousins(twins) had tubes put in when they were 2 1/2 - 3 years old, and we started seeing improvements with their speech about 2 weeks later.

i could see a difference like a week later, especially in the way he pronounced words! now 2 months later the difference is HUGE, he went from having trouble putting 2 words together to speaking in 5-6 word sentences. he is still a little behind, but improving like crazy! he is 3.5
