I'm almost 38 wks and a friend of mine said that squats and jumping jacks helps labor start/your water breaking but I couldn't imagine doing a jumping jack right now lmao. Did anyone else try this? Did it work? Also, last Thursday my ob checked my cervix and said I was about 2 cm dilated then I went back Friday because I thought I was leaking water so he checked and I was closed :( has this happened to anyone else?

I would just jump up and down sometimes and then bend at the knees, not actual jumping jacks and squats lol, but I was fully effaced and 4 cm dilated until I finally had to be induced... Guess my body just wasn't ready. I was close though I could feel it :( But I went like that for a couple weeks and nothing was happening so I was induced...

Squats can help drop baby and put pressure on your cervix. It won't hurt to let gravity try helping. Between squats, epo and a membrane stripping I was walking around at 6cm and 90% effaced before labor

I did squats! And I walked up and down stairs taking them 2 at a time. I was kind of doing it as a joke, but I went into labor 2 days later. I have no idea if it's a coincidence, lol. I heard they definitely work but only if the baby is already on his/her way, otherwise it's just exercise haha. I figured at least my legs would look good when I was pushing

Yep, I was walking, squatting, hitting the mall, I did a hand stand to see if I could, I walked myself into the hospital and up to my room. I wasn't in active labor so my contractions were anywhere from 3-6 minutes apart for weeks.

I was past due when I decided to scrub my kitchen floor while squatting. Guess what? it didn't do anything except making my kitchen floor really really clean. LOL
