At what age do you believe it is alright to give your child pop/soda?
My older ones are 5 and 3 and still don't get it.
Whenever I want to.

Lol that helps..
I guess when she is a tween
DS didn't get it until he was 3. He only has it when we have movie and pizza night, when we go out to dinner, or on a holiday. We never go out anymore, so he maybe gets it twice a month.
My 2 year old will sneak sips every now and then if I go to McDonalds or something, but as far as giving them their own can of pop goes....I wait until they're old enough to actually want it and ask for it......around 6ish
I don't buy it or keep it in my house, but I allow my older kids to have it at other people's houses or if we go out to eat.
I dont like my kids to have it at all, but whenever i drink it (which is like once a month) ill give them a little watered down. I think the youngest id given it to my LOs was around 12 months or so and that was just a sip.

Well, it's true. It depends on the kid and the parent.
My oldest didn't have it until 3. My other 2 have had it as early as 18 months.
I didn't give it to my daughter until she was about 4 or 5 years old. She really only has it when she goes over her father's house, we don't have any at ours. She prefers water anyways! I don't really care what other parents do...
Idk, i'll probably wait until ds is at least in school.
not until they're at least 3, but then only once in a blue moon, IMO. DD turned 3 a couple weeks ago, and i just gave her a little bit of sprite for the first time. SO and I dont drink it, and we dont keep it in the house. she's not allowed to eat cookies and candie either except for rare occasions.
Right now I don't know that I ever want to give it to her. But I may end up giving her the occasional soda as a special treat (caffeine free only) when she's 5-6 and older.. But that's a BIG maybe. I just remember when we were kids we got an occasional A&W root beer as a treat and it was very special and we would make it last a long time. So we'll see.
