Lately ive been getting the WORSE headaches ever. i think its from not having my glasses but i havent had them in awhile Lilly broke them. my mom is saying to wait til after im pregnant to go get an eye exam and glasses, as i only get one a year with my insurance but i dont think i can handle this for the rest of my pregnancy, im even scared to drive sometimes they get so bad.
SO, if you wear glasses, did you get new ones during pregnancy that were REALLY different then usual? did they not seem to do their job after being pregnant? eye exam safe while pregnant?
im 16 weeks.
and im curious about dental cleaning while pregnant? last time i was pregant i didnt need one really i had one right before, but now its that time of year again, and shoul di just hold off till after baby?
My prescription changed slightly when I was pregnant but it only affected me where contacts were concerned.
I don't see how being pregnant with effect your eye exam?? I'm the same way with my glasses if I don't wear them I get a huge headache.
I know I would for sure go get new ones...
and I had a dental cleaning at 13 weeks, just make sure you tell them so they don't do any X rays!

And don't hold off on a cleaning. It's more important than ever while pregnant. There's a reason there's an old wives tale that you lose a tooth for every child.
I would take the lenses out of the one's LO broke and go to Target or WalMart optical and find a cheap pair of frames to have them put them in. If your anything like me, my eyes have changed and my vision in worse while pregnant. I would wait to get your exam and new glasses till after baby comes. As for the dentist, I would go, just to keep on schedule. But do let them know you are pregnant. :) Hope this helps!

The difference in my glasses was negligible and didn't affect my sight overall.
i went to americas best and got a free eye exam and then only paid like $65 for 2 pairs of glasses. if you only wanted 1 pair they ran from $35 and up.
My OB nurse told me don't be surprised if my eyesight gets worse during pregnancy, since I already have a prescription for glasses that I don't wear. I am almost 18 weeks, and I can tell they are getting worse but it is only when I'm trying to read signs from far away. I hate wearing my glasses so I'm not gonna both with it unless I feel about blind! You might want to just go get them checked. My husband and friend had a good experience through America's best.
