Well here in KY, Medicaid pays for all hospital expense so hopefully you're lucky and get that done too!

How does the medicaid switch over, does it do it on its own OR do you have to back down the the f.s office?

medicaid is EXTERMLY picky here in Oklahoma ..

I had to have extra ultrasounds due to Gestional Diabeties and Hailey being breech and I was stuck with $600.00 in ultrasound bills :(

They covered most all of my pregnancy and all of my 5 day hospital visit.

They were very picky about what med's I could recieve and what diabeties supplies I could get.

I was DROPPED from medicaid about 30 days after hailey was born. They continued to cover Hailey until she was 5 months old and I had to reapply.

I decided it was NONE of medicaid's business about my car loans, house loan, property or my bank account statements. I would gladly provide paystubs and w2's and tax returns..but my spending habits, car loans, and house loans were MY business.

I was dropped from the program cause I wouldn't give them the info ..

I have free health care thru Cherokee Nation for me and Hailey so its not that big of deal :)

Medicaid is great !! But be sure to ask what is COVERED so you don't get stuck with bills in the end that you can't pay.

What programs are out there for people (like me) who won't qualify for medicaide, and don't have insurance??

I thought medicade would cover anyone who was preggers, no matter how much they made?
