Shark Steam Mop vs. Swiffer.... Flibbertigibbet 19 kids; Richland, Washington 9301 posts

So I have a all solid floors except carpet in the bedrooms and I currently use a Shark Steam Mop, however it's sooooo hot down here (live in basement apt) and I have no air conditioner and when I use the steam mop I swear it ups the temp by 10 degrees lol. So I really hate using it during the summer. Is the Swiffer brand a good one? And which one would you recommend, I need one that can get up lots of super sticky stuff lol.
TIA

Swiffer cleaner is terrible for your floors. When were remodeling we were told to never use Swiffer on anything, even vinyl.

I have a Rubbermaid mop that you fill up using your own cleaners and you push the handle and it sprays it and i have a Dirt Devil steam mop. I like them both, but my steam mop just recently starting not working right after only a month and a half.

Do some research online for reviews and stuff on the Shark ones... I've read nothing but bad things about them not lasting very long.

I f**king hate swiffer. Mostly the wet jet.

I use the wet cloths on the swiffer sweeper if I am just feeling super lazy, but I try to actually mop as much as possible.

I need a steam mop.

Do u like the rubbermaid? I am thinking about getting one. I use the swiffer wet jet and I love it because of its convenience, but i have heard its not very good on the floors?? I mop my floors like, 3 times a week. Can u buy extra pads for it? I only do laundry about once a week (especially with my husband deployed and its only me and my daughter) so I dont wanna have to do a load JUST for the pad or w/e.

I love my shark steam mop. Swifter products seem to leave my floors sticky.

i have the H2o mop & i LOVE it! i dont notice it making me hotter at all, & i love it because it can go on carpet & hard floors.. i also love that it sanitizes the carpet also with just water, no chemicles :)

I'll have to look into that rubbermaid one, can you get it at walmart?
And I love the shark steam mop except for the fact it makes it soo hot down here lol. But it's a good workout and it gets the floors nice and clean, and I like that you don't have to use any cleaner because I have no way to ventilate or get fresh air down here so I don't like to use cleaners unless we're gonna be out of the house for a little while.
