So I've read that having contractions and diarhea is a sign of early labor. But Idk if it's all in my head or not. I'm 37wks and 2 days. I've have irregular contractions for the past week and it seems I get more and more each day(not in a pattern though) I've had tiny ones all morning. Well. SO and I had some fun and I always get pretty fierce contractions afterwards, but they usually ease up and become irreegular. Well after we finish, about 10 mins later, I felt the urge to go #2. I did and it wasn't much. Then 20-30 mins later, I ended up with diarrhea. I've had contractions ever since we had sex. they vary in intensity. With this diarrhea, I don't have any tummy issues unless I'm having a contraction. Plus i can feel LO literately dropping even more with each contractions, but once they ease up, he moves up toward my ribs. He's head down and everything but it seems he gets lower when I get a contraction.

I know your plug can regenerate, but ive had quarter sized chunks come out the last few days. Yesterday morning I woke up and I had a huge massive glob of it come out. i had to wipe a few times to clean it up;/ I didnt have blood or anything...

Idk if I should bother going in. my contractions arent regular or progressing. just curious what everones thoughts are on this..

my thought are, every pregnant women hhopes for labour after like 36 weeks... its not happening, 9 times out of 10 you do not go that early.

if i had a penny for every damn "omg is this labour?" post i would be rich.

pregnancy is 40 weeks. you signed on for that long so relax and enjoy the ride. once the baby gets here and lack of sleep kicks in youll wonder why you ever thought you were uncomfortable and sleep deprived before...

Sounds like it coudl be labor, but if your contractions aren't regular or you aren't in severe pain, I would rest on your left side and drink some water. Good luck!

It could be, I would just time them and see what happens. Drink some water too so that you don't get dehydrated if the diarrhea persists.

I mean im pretty sure its not labor, but I was just curious if anyone has had this and it actually be true. This is my first, so everything is new. Side just because you sign on for 40wks, doesnt mean ull go 40wks.

I havent exactly timed them. Since they doesnt really have my doubled over, I havent bothered too much to pay attention. they defiantly kill my back, but thats about it.
The bigger ones I'd guestimate are like 7-10 mins apart for like 30secs with tiny contractions inbetween.

Id like to hold off as much as I can. Atleast another week or two if I can try. He's tried to come at 27wks and they had to stop it then.

I had my first child at 37 weeks I didnt lose my plug or have my water break. I had the exact samething that is happening to u happend to me. We had sex, had small irregular contractions that stopped for about 12hrs then my stomach started to hurt like I had diarrhea. Kept going to the bathroom and then finally after not being able to stand up it hurt so bad went to the hospital. When I got there all the nurses thought I wasnt ready, they checked me I was ten centmeters dialated. From start to finish 6hrs of contractions and 45 minutes of pushing I had a baby. So to everyone that says your first one never comes easy or early .. not always true. Make sure if you want drugs to give yourself time cause if you wait to long it might be too late
