when you open a jar of prune juice, how long can it stay in the fridge for?
i got lo some prunes and he's had 3 today but pooped and SO said it was still hard.
so i was going to give him juice but if the prunes just need mor etime to work then i was going to not open juice and save it for when the prunes are gone.

Does it not say on the bottle? I would think it would say something about to discard after so many days?

Yeah that is just shelf life, I would think that it would be fine for 14 days in the fridge once opened, sort of like milk or breastmilk?

ok. do you think if he had 3 prunes like 4-5 hours ago it should have worked by now?
i do not want him to like have watery poop if i give him prunes and then juice as well.

Yeah I would hold off on the juice, the prunes should take about 24 to 48 hours to work to soften his poop, give them to him daily though.

no i have to do it tonight when he's asleep cause of the blender.
but i got mashed potatoes in a box O_o so in the day i can make more of it fast.
we're fixing to leave to go see my mil and i guess we'll be eating something there i dunno.
he's eaten pretty decent though today.
he ate strawberries and those prunes and a little apple also half a grilled cheese sandwich.
thats the best he's eaten in awhile.
i'd be shocked if he ate dinner as well lol.

I called the phone number on the can of prune juice and the lady said about 7-10 days in fridge but freezer lasts months so she suggested putting it in ice cube trays and melting how much u want ATM. I'm sure jars would b the same.
