Quoting Mama VC:" OK, quick question: Going by my initial calculation from when I was almost certain I O'd, I would be ... [snip!] ... miscalculated and actually O'd later? Or is it normal for every pregnancy to produce different levels of HCG at the beginning?"

Could go either way. You could have miscalculated O time or you could have implanted later. What dpo did you get your first bfp with this one? And what tests are you using?

This time I got my first bfp at 14dpo and last pregnancy it was at 10dpo. Both times I used the early pregnancy tests (dip sticks) that react to 10 mIU.

That's great news!!

It just sounds like you implanted later.

Gotcha - thanks! And would this mean that my EDD would likely be different than what I got by going off my LMP? That is one reason I haven't changed my profile yet, because I have a feeling that when I get my first measurements done in about a month it will be early June instead of late May.

Go with your LMP, then change it if they do. Here they calculate with LMP and won't change the due date unless it's way off( like by two weeks)

My practice does the EDD by measurements for the most part, because many women have an irregular cycle and in that case LMP doesn't mean much. My due date with DD would have been Nov 6 based off LMP and after our first ultrasound I was given 11/14 as the EDD (she came 11/18).

If you know when you exactly O'd I would go with that. That's what I did with this one until I get my u/s. Going off lmp I would be due around 22nd/23rd, but I O'd late and according to my O date I am due the 26th.

I thought I grabbed an HPT but grabbed an OPK instead. Shouldn't the line still be darker if I'm 15 DPO?

So this is an opk?

This is my opk at 15dpo. I know they're different brands, but mine wasn't even as dark as the control line yet.

It wasn't until 17dpo that it was slightly darker than the control line

Yea this was an OPK. I've just been cramping a lot today and didn't look when I grabbed the test. I have an appt in the afternoon tomorrow so hopefully they can figure this out.

I normally just lurk in here, so instead of making a new thread I figured I'd ask you ladies.

Recently my body has started this thing where it wants to spot brown a day or two before I actually start bleeding for my period. I think it's throwing my numbers off a little because it doesn't always happen that way every month, so question.

Would you count the spotting as CD1 or do you wait until your actually bleeding red to count it as CD1?

I usually count first day of red blood as CD1
