If this is true.. I'm going to be asking my doc for vitamin c!!
idk but i doubt it.
IDK! but thats a pretty old article 2003.
Even still.. Its incredibly interesting. I can't see dates cause I'm on my phone but we still go by some medical info established in the 70's ya know? I'm definitely going to dig into this further. I know this is the #1 fear of moms, myself included. My son is 15 weeks and I'm terrified I'm going to find him blue, cold and not breathing.
I didn't read your link, but vitamin C is good to take daily, along with the rest of vitamins and minerals. I take 5 pills in the morning of various sort.
eta: Just realized the article must of said something about vitamin C for infants, that I have no idea about.
And vitamin c isn't bad for you.. The only thing is my son has severe gerd with lpr and he's on prevacid. I'd have to ask his GI and ENT docs along with his pedi if its safe to give vitamin c to him. If something that simple could lower the risk, it'd be phenomenal!!
Do you have netflix? You should watch the documentary Food Matters.
It talks a lot about vitamin C.

Breastfeeding reduces the risk of SIDS, along with pacifier use and other factors.

I couldn't bf and we use paci's.. Plus he sleeps on his back, we do the fan thing, we dress him to be cool to the touch, etc.. Mostly everything that's suggested, we do. But I'm still whoa paranoid.
