With mine it was 8mg and I could take 1/2-1 tab every 6 hours.

However, I know they typically say 8 hours at my hospital (I'm a nurse)

You'd be safe taking it every 6-8 hours. Are you taking the phenergan too? Maybe this is HG, if you are still sick:cry:

Mine says to take 8mg every eight hours... However, I sometimes take it early around 6 hours. You should ask your doctor about Reglan or Phenergan...they really help with severe nausea and vomitting. Good luck mama!

most doctors would say 6-8 hours with that milligram.

i took 4mg and took it every 4-6 hours.

if i were you, since it's so bad, i'd take it every 6 hours for a few days and then try to reduce it to every 8 hours.

im sorry you're so sick! popsicles may help temporarily. those and crackers were all i could eat for the first few months.

You could call and talk to the pharmacist to see what they say. I think that would be your safest bet.

You can def alternate them or take them together. I would take Zofran and then if that doesnt work try taking the Phenergan maybe an hour or two later. My doctor said its okay to take all three of the ones I have together but I like to spread them out because I dont want to take so many things at one time.

I'm on zofran, Doctor said every 6 hrs. & its definitely not safe to take together, Their both a drug for the samething. But you can alternate.

YES you can take them together. They both treat nausea, but they work in different ways. I was on phenergan, Reglan and Zofran for months during my pregnancy.

The phenergan will probably make you sleepy though. So be careful. Also, the phenergan is considered a Class C drug, so it's up to you if you feel you are comfortable taking it. Like I said, I did and everything was fine.

But taking them together is not going to hurt you.

If you're only supposed to take zofran every 6 hrs, how would it be safe to take another medicine alike with it? Wouldn't it be like taking 2 zofrans in 6 hrs. Doesn't make sense. Just asking.

Because while they treat the same thing, the way they work is not the same. It's not the same as taking 2 different kinds of pain meds that are both narcotics.

If you had a really bad headache, or some other pain, it would be ok to take both tylenol and Motrin at the same time. Or giving a toddler both for a high fever. Same theory.
