Ohhh, I didn't know that... That's really interesting.

My experience is with mo/di, so it's one egg that splits... not two separate.

Yeah we had to do a lot of waiting at the beginning of my preg to see if baby B would grow cause he was a week behind at my first dating u/s and the dr told me that, and also read lots of stories that had it happen. I mean usually it ends up being vts but some do grow just fine like that.

congrats x2!! As far as dates go, it's probably like someone said, the babies implanted at different times since it was two eggs or they're just slightly different sizes. As for the diabetes, that makes this whole thing just a tad bit more difficult for you but you'll be just fine! the rh- is not a big deal, you'll get a shot for that. Stick around here and we'll be here to get you through! My SO is type 1 diabetic too so I know some things about that kind of. My first niece's mother is diabetic and she had some complications with her pregnancy because of it but mostly because she was on the pump and for some reason, near the end, it was disconnected and her sugars rose very high. The baby had some issues at first and they monitor her very closely. Now, she's developing just fine

Yeah, I've been learning a lot through mine as well. It's been filled with downs, and has finally started to get an up moment. Hopefully it sticks!.

Well twins run in my family and as far as we can tell they've all been boy/girl. Now in my husband's it all been identical. We just found out about his side last week. Baby A seems to stay in one place most of the time where Baby B is all over the place. The last u/s I had showed they were head to head and their placentas were at there feet. So I know they're not sharing anything but me. After being told for so long you can't have any kids to say we we're in shock from the Doctor saying twins would be an understatement. I found out I was pregnant at the ER and they said I was 11wk5d and 2 weeks later I found out i was 5wks5d so according to what I've read I had only been pregnant like 3 weeks when i found out. It's been crazy that's for sure. Now if I can used to the swelling....

She's adorable, lola!

How early did she come? I'm sure you've said it before, I just can't seem to bring the info to the forefront of my mind.

Aww.. I'm terrified of going into early labor.... like ALL the time. At this point I've had so much go wrong, that I keep saying... yeah, it's totally going to happen.

Grrrrrrr the specialist seems to think they are mono/chro and sharing a placenta. My normal Dr doesn't seem to think I have anything to worry about so I'm trying not to worry. I did find out they are both very proud little boys.
