Yesterday my 5 year old took a pretty good fall. When we took her in she was funning a 102.8 fever. She has a mil concussin/contusion. By the time we left two hours later it was done to 99.9. They didn't mention anything about the fever so I figured it was ok and it had gone done. Now it's back up to 101.2. I don't know if the two could be related or if it's totally unrelated. I don't know if I should take her back in or wait and call her doctor.

I saw it on the discharge papers but the nurse only circled the section under head injury in a child. I don't know if she missed that or what. Guess next time I should read them before I leave.

I really hate ER doctors.. They should have told you about a fever, and made sure you understood when you should come back...

I'm not that happy with the visit they really didn't examine her but they did do a scan. I would call the ER but all they would tell me is we can't give medical advice over the phone.

They didnt even look at my head the first time I went. Just checked the baby and my heart and all kinds of other unnecessary crap. I passed out because my sugar dropped and fell and hit my head. They told me it was because of a blood clot in my lung (with no evidence)
I went back 2 days later because my head was still really bad. It was over 2months ago, and my head still hurts :((

Oh no that's not good. :( I haven't lived here long but I'm beginning to realize the hospitals here sucks. The radiology group misdigonised me with an ectopic and the doctors were about to cut me open for nothing. We have another hospital that is a different network so we may just go there when she wakes up and is still running a fever.

Indiana ER's are the worst ever.. especially in small towns. Instead of going back to the e.r find an urgent care office, in your doctors "network" and take her there.

We went to a Union hospital. I'm going to take her back to the Regional hospital here soon. She is still quite leghtric and isn't acting herself. We do have one of those urgent care places but I figured a hospital may be better.

it might .. Since it is a concussion I just know a lot of the town hospitals aren't worth a shit
